Rock Ski's

I finally made the switch to parabolics after breaking the binding on my old trusty 7's. I'm not anxious to christen them on rocks. With all this snow and assuming we don't get washed out with rain what should I expect in May? Also am I right in assuming the headwall is more skiable the earlier you go? My first time but at 54 I'm gettin old for this stuff.

I wouldn't worry too much about rocks - You'll be too busy concentrating on the steeps! Seriously, the bowl is fine - rarely do rocks get to be a problem in May (unless of course, you lose it at the bottom of the bowl). If you intend to ski the Sherburne down as far as you can, you might think about bringing the rock skis and checking in at Pinkham's for conditions. If it's just the bowl you're after, don't worry. - SherpaKroto
