Took a nasty fall friday afternoon. Many thanks for all those that helped with the sled and subsequent snowmobile. A big thanks to Chris and the National Guard folks who carried me over the rocks enroute to HoJoes. To make a long story short, I was knocked down by some sluff at the top of the Headwall. The rock 1/2 way down almost made me a quadriplegic. Lucklily I survived with a broken pelvis. Keep it safe out there.
If anyone sees some Orange Solly X-Screams with Yellow/Grey Fritschi's drop me a pm. The drugs are kicking in again. Got to go.

I saw you getting carted away and wondered what happened. get better soon. It's small consolation, but at least it was at the end of the season, ya know?

I saw you too. And was passed by the ambulance while leaving. If I knew it was you I could of gotten a pic of you flashing the sign on the backboard
Sorry to hear about the injury, and get well soon so you can get back on snow.

Physhing,
I echo your sentiments. The Rangers are fantastic. I unfortunately know this first hand. I saw you fall (I was halfway up Chute). My friend Mike was the guy in a blue/white Hawaiian shirt that went over to you and you told him you needed help and you thought you might have dislocated your hip. He went and got the Rangers (who actually already knew you needed help and were working it out).
I was the guy in a green/black Hawaiian that fell on the Chute while they were working on you. Justin was the one that helped me after you were taken care of.
My hats off to all the rangers and volunteers. They are nothing but professional and doing a job that is tough to start with but even more so since it is on a mountain. They will always have my deepest gratitude and respect.

Thanks guys. I remember the shirt. Hope your knee/ankle was ok. Not even really sure how I fell. I think my sluff pushed mu into some rocks. Lost both skie and the rest as they say ends at the ravine floor.
Sorry to hear you got hurt. Best wishes for a speedy recovery!
On a lighter note, at least you can't mow the :badwords: lawn for a while.
Good luck with your PT!

Phishing,
I'll pass your thanks on to Mike. I'm going to Ortho today. The doc I saw Saturday was pretty sure I tore my ACL but my knee was too swollen to tell for sure.
Since you had the "taxi" and the Cat was down for repairs, I had to hike down to HoJo's. It was quite an adventure. Took me about 2 hours from the time they got the splint on. Made me focus on what I was doing and not think of anything else so it was good in some ways. Once out of the bown and on the trail I had to make a plan for each step. Kept me from thinking about the a$$ kickin' my wife was going to give me for getting hurt. :D

Ken,
I hope your a** kicking was tempered by sympathy for what was an accident to begin with. Glad you and Phishing are alive and posting and on the road to recovery. Stick with the PT and get back on your feet - being injured is frustrating but one tends to come back stronger than before. Plenty of sympathy and similar horror story advice available here when you need it.

Get well you guys - and post pix of any fun xrays or gory surgery stuff.
And pix of your mom too.
