I was drinking with some Killington buddies in NYC the other night and the topic of Tucks came up... As it usually does...
They were asking me about vertical feet of the bowl and Hillmans... I said i really dont know..

Anybody ever the the time to look on a topo or measure with an altimeter?

Where would you start and stop. Are they looking to compare it to Killi? Then you would have to start at the summit and the bottom of the ditch at the lower end of the parking lot.

I measured it with my altimeter last sunday, DMC

From the junction with Alpine Garden to the floor of the ravine, the vertical is 895'

According to the topo map and other infos I got, the vertical of Hillman's is 1400' high.

The Time for Tuckerman - Map of Tuckerman Ravine (http://timefortuckerman.com/tuckermanravinemap.html) could be helpful.

Ravine Base to top of headwall: 600 ft
Hillmans 1,400 ft

In my hike profile research I tagged the "Lunch rocks -> Over headwall" as 869 feet.
