Okay so this weekend's weather is forecasted to be as follows:
Sat: High 39, Cloud coverage 60%, 38 mph winds from West, Precip 20%
Sun: High 34, Could Coverage 72%, 40 mph winds from West, Precip 10%
My friends and I are thinking about headed up from CT Friday night and camp out for the weekend and ski tucks Sat and Sunday. . . My past experiences up there make me feel as though the bowl will be sock in and gusts too strong to ski snow fields and off the headwall. Any expierenced suggestions for this group of weekend warriors? Bag this weekend and wait for the next? Maybe head up there and worst case end up at WildCat or something?

Go. It's just a forecast and most times they over-exaggerate it just in case they are wrong. Besides, its Wednesday... too early to tell what's gonna happen.
You won't see those wind speeds unless you hang out in the alpine garden or head up to the summit. With temps not too low you are usually ok with a baselayer and a shell.
Worst case you just head up into the bowl and ski down the Sherburne - which is turning out to be a nice and mellow bump run already and will only get bumpier after 1000+ skiers hit it Saturday. Head up early Sat to ski and I'd prioritize skiing Sat over Sunday in the bowl.
IMO, from now on, the longer you wait the more stuff will get bumped. Last year I could see the [huge] moguls on Left Gully from Wildcat... there were also huge moguls on Right, sluice, lip... moguls are fine and all, but IMO just detracts from the steepness of the bowl and doesn't let me make my own turns. But that's just me.... so hit it early as possible

We are headed up on the weekend of the 26th. What shape is the Sherburne in and will it still be passable on that weekend?

my past experiences up there tell me to just go...
you can always turn around.
Something or the other will be in through may.
The sherb will begin to melt out by this weekend.

Thanks all! Much appreciated. . . Yeah I really wanna get up there and have a nice canvas to work with over the headwall... how are the center lines lookin?
1000+ people this weekend, eh? ugh... is tent camping up there an unrealistic idea? if areas are full i remeber it being difficult to find poachable areas but with all the snow there's no "impact" on the ground so is poaching a possibilty?

Were leaving Fri night about 7 probably gettin in around 12... im thinkin it might be worth hiking up Friday night to try to get campin or shelter space... but on the other hand it would be a really long night and kinda kill Saturday's energy. Going up really early saturday sounds like we'd screwed and probably not get camping space for the night in which case we'd probably look to wander off into the woods and camp out of sight.

Probably passable, but probably will have a couple exposed waterbars and maybe some grassy spots... this past weekend I saw some grass poking out in the more sun exposed areas and one waterbar down low starting to take a chunk from the trail.
But you should still be able to ski around these and all the way down...at least most of the way down.
I'm saying 1000+ during the day on Sat although this weekend is a popular one for camping up there. Nothing wrong with starting up from Pinkham around 7am... you'll prob still get there before most folks.
