Hi there-
Planning a day trip for tomorrow, Saturday April 11th. Weather looks kind of iffy though - they say maybe rain mixing with snow- ugly.
Anyone heard anything else re: weather conditions, and wind?
THANKS
B.Burke
I heard it may be sunny then rainy then snowy then it's going to ice over...
And the next hour..

thanks.
(typo in my message - i meant to write april 12th, not 11th)
Dude... I was joking... When it comes to Mt Washington, I'm never sure whats going to happen..
I generally go good weather or not...
I just pick a time and do it..
My sources (uswx.com) tell me sat morning isn't going to be very nice, but later in the day in might get nice. And SUNDAY the 13th (or the 12th in your strange new 24hr shifted day light savings mode)... so SUNDAY is looking pretty good.
I'm toying with the idea of camping sat night. Or maybe a sunday day trip.

I agree with DMC... pick a date and hope for the best... and don't fret too much about weather reports since they don't apply well to Tucks and Mt Washington in general... at least from my experience.
We'll see if Intellicast is accurate with a current forecast of 51/52C and showers Easter weekend.
Its going to be a fine 16C (thats about 60-61F for most of you) here today in Ottawa and probably the last we'll see of snow till next year. :(
Have a great weekend at Tucks you lucky dogs!

Go Sunday. And I highly regard the National Weather Service for weather. Here is a link to the Jackson forecast.

In addition the prognostic discussion provides great insight into what the forecasters are considering, and what alternate possibilities might be.

TheWeatherChannel says:
Friday night : Overcast skies and windy. Low 21F. Winds NW at 25 to 35 mph.
Saturday : Cloudy with gusty winds. High 37F. Winds NW at 25 to 35 mph.
Saturday night : Very windy. Light snow in the evening will taper to scattered flurries overnight. Low 16F. Winds WNW at 40 to 60 mph. Chance of snow 50%. Snow accumulations less than one inch.
Sunday (24 hours) : Windy with a mix of sun and clouds. Highs in the low 20s and lows in the low teens.
Have fun gang....gonna be yoyoing in VT sunshine methinks.
