HelloW!
First time poster here. . . I'm 26 and been ripping 22 yrs now racing about half and skiing the last six yrs west coast and east coast BCountry. Im entertaining the thought trying a decent of the center headwall (IceFall route) and would like to find out what folks who have been up there recently think about feasibilty with the high snow fall.
I've been tracking the avalanche conditions recently and am kinda waiting for the weather to setup properly for a weekend ascent/decent. Most importantly I'd like to find out from people who have been up there recently think.
Lastly, I have friends who are up to the challenge but none that are qualified to really rip technical lines up there on 60degree+ terraine. So I'm also looking for a partner is this early season hunt.
I'm Avy 1 certified and have shovel, probe, crampons, mountainaxe,(beacon I rent), I used to work as a rock climbing guide in the Gunks, and grew up in the summers hiking and climbing in Maine and NH so i fully understand the risks of this proposal and am seeking the most information I can get right now on conditions and previous lines skiied throught the center headwall.
Thanks All,
Morgan Patterson
