So I'm hoping that somone can point me in the best direction. I know of 2 places that can bake my liners on my garmonts, but have no experience with either shop. Can anyone make a suggestion based on experience with the boot fitter as to whom I should see. Or not see for that matter. My normal "boot fitter" doesn't know much about AT boots or Garmont liners. I've got new Endorphins that have a perfect shell fit, but the liner is too snug.
Basically I'm a 26.5 and got a really good deal on a new pair of garmonts that are a 26/26.5 shell that have a 26 liner. Shell fit looks perfect. I've talked to a few people that swear the liners will have enough space when baked but I have no experience with garmont liners to make an decision. Put it this way, if I remove the insoles I can have a very tight fit with the liners in the shell. If the foot bed is in, I can't really get my right (bigger foot) into the liner/shell. If I do need to order new liners I'd like to get the ball rolling on either some newer 26.5 garmont liners, or just order intuitions and call it a day. Either way I'd value a knowledgeable opinion from someone that is in the know.
Any thoughts on whom to see, or if anyone has something to offer from a similar fit experience I greatly appreciate it.
Snow is coming!!

While there are probably many good ones out there, Jeff Bokum is the best that I've dealt with. Profile Orthotic Center (http://www.profileorthoticcenter.com/aboutus.html)
I don;t know where you're located. He's in Concord, NH. I can't say enough good about this guy. Even my podiatrist was impressed.

I actually met this guy in Manchester a few years back, lost his card and forgot his name. I will give him a call. Do you have any idea what this guy would charge for a simple eval/bake of liner. I already have foot beds just might need a little work on the stance.

If you're anywhere near K-Mart, lots o folks rave about a guy at Northern Ski Works on the Killington Road who can supposedly work wonders. No personal experience with the guy and don't know if he knows jack about AT.

That's what I'm talking about. Thanks for the links to the videos. I'm going to give this method a try and see if it's even worth messing more with the 26 liners....or if I really need to order some 26.5 liners.
Thanks again!

Using Big Tims advice (RR's links) i have successfully baked half a dozen pair of boots. Its not hard and cheaper. Good luck!

Anyone is welcome to stop by (~10 min off of I-91) to use my newly acquired Scarpa boot oven. (Ditto for jigs too: Dynafit, Diamir, Naxo)

so I baked em and they stretched/gave more toe box room than before. I still think that I will have to get a 26.5 liner. Thanks to all for the help on the home cooking, it was very easy to accomplish.
Next step is finding liners. I'm thinking that if I need to get liners I may as well order intuitions or something of the like over new larger G-Fit liners. I've never skied Intuitions but have friends that do and swear by them. Anyone have experience with Conformable liners? I've never used them nor do I know anyone who has. How do the fit, ski, etc? How much do they cost? I know that I can get Intuitions for low $100's, are the conformable around the same price point? I looked online and couldn't seem to find any answers. I'd like to have an idea of what it would run. I just don't want to meed Jeff from Profile and have no idea what he would charge for liners..stance..etc.

And to add further to my equation: Does anyone know Todd from Wildcat? I just got off the phone with Intuition and they told me to talk to Todd and that he stocks (or they would send asap) several liners and that he does good work. Anyone care to comment? Thanks for helping me with my bombardment of questions. I guess this is what happens when you are trying to iron out boot fits with snow in the forecast and work not in the forecast!:D

I use Big Tim's vid too with good results. As for liners Intuition was offering a good group deal on the Teton Gravity site not long ago. It's here:
