Time to get the stickers printer. If we don't do it soon it's gonna dump snow and we'll never get it done becuase we'll all be skiing. (humph - that's a good argument not to do it)

I believe we had some desings previously, everyone post them again. Dave and I should be able to setup a poll with the images shown large and iconized/thumbnailed in the poll itself and we can all vote.

DMC: I believe you've got the sticker printing connection? The "This Board Climbed Mt. Wash." were excellent.

So - designs anyone?

I should modify this one I made (best viewed with those 3D glasses you mentioned M@ :)

I could modify it into something based on the graphics elements T4T members would like to see on it.. certainly a big T4T and more visible URL for one... maybe archive that :chicken: finally :p .

Could get them printed at websticker.com (Stowe) or similar.

despite the survivor reference I like it, but change "outski" to "outslide"

I'm not a survivor fan - but if the masses speak than let it be so. It is a nice design. Looks like a football too thought - and I'm not a football fan either. Why does everything bad always happen to me!

I was thinking a T4T euro - or something that said "This Ski Climbed Mount Washington" like the car bumper sticker - I thought that was pretty clever.

Same here M@.. I'm not a football fan either. Not sure about the 'This ski climbed Mountain Washington'... suggests we need a sticker for both skis which doubles the cost. oops. Personally something more original sounds appealing, something related specifically to Tuckerman Ravine, and of course T4T.

Let the ideas flow people! Maybe a poll once we have a good selection of ideas and such.

The Euro could work - why not?, they have them for everyother concievable place on the planet!!!! :p

Keep it simple - T4T That way 99.9% of the non-skiing public will have no clue as too what it means....... :D

DMC's sticker read "This Board Climbed mount Washington" and was the same color as the "Car climbed" sticker. Skiiers got two I guess. Works for me, I've got them on 2 sets of skiis and one r/c airplane (which is made out of a ski that has climbed mount washington)

The white-colored oval-shaped stickers which mimick (sp) the european style license plates....

not the best description.....I'll try to find a pic to send to you....When you see you'll know what I mean.

M@

A "Euro" is a oval shaped sticker with 2 or 3 letters in it. I think they started in europe, so every country didn't need a different license plate, but if you were to travel between counties you had to have a sticker showing what country you were from.

Us silly americans decided it looked kewl, and to show we had visited Ireland we'd get one of the IRL euro stickers and put it on our car - as if it had been to Ireland or something.

And in the past 3-4 years people have started using three letter airport designator codes to show where they had been.

My station wagon currently sports a "DOH" euro. Which has nothing to to with anything above - it is my homage to Homer.

My sedan has a small "TR" sticker, homage to tuckerman, and my helmet has a "TUX" euro on the back.

Way to go M@. I tried jinning one up in Windows Paint, but quickly decided to defer to those with better tools. Personally, I like the euro idea.

Maybe I missed earlier discussion about funding... does our printing contact need angels to help sponsor the initial printing run until us greedy-handed purchasers send our checks your way?

If the ladies have their calenders, we should do a real men of tuckermans poster...

Checked for the t4t domains - and they're all taken. D'oh.

(t4t.org = Tools For Teens, some religious thing, although I guess our T4T is kinda religious too)

Here's another version - call it Euro1.5 : Some of Dave's idea with new font and text.

I'm pretty sure (DMC maybe can confirm) that you are limited to either 1 color, or 2 colors (Backround white doesn't count). I'm thinking black and red.

Look good M@! Are you suggest two versions?

1) This board climbed Mt Washington
2) These skis climbed Mt Washington

I used the site color on mine, but red looks clean (matches my skis better even)...

Here is what yours would look like on a skis...

Modified slightly for larger T4T...

I think it should say "this(ese) board(s) slid Tucks" or something, most of us do not skin up so to say the boards climbed wouldn't be entirely accurate.

I'd say that for the majority of Tuck's skiers, it should say something like:

These skis survived Tuckerman Ravine

These skis conquered Tuckerman Ravine

This board survived Tuckerman Ravine

This board conquered Tuckerman Ravine

or on the silly side...

These skis make me wipeout at Tuckerman Ravine

I found these skiis below the Tuckerman Ravine headwall

These skis made it to HoJos

These skis make it to Lunch Rocks

These skis were lost at Tuckerman Ravine

These skis stolen at Tuckerman Ravine

M@ - I like your logo. By the way, don't you have a "TR" sticker on you helmet, and not "TUX"?

M@
01-09-2004, 09:53 AM
kmRn: You are correct: TR mini euro on helmet - and TUX mini euro on the car. At pinkham you can buy the mini euro's and you get 2, one TR and one TUX. I had forgot where I put which. I don't see the back of my helmet very much... and the way you ski - I'm suprised you saw it at all!
