I just changed my ISP away from AOL. Now I can't seem to vote in our polls! It just doesn't do ANYTHING when I click a poll link. Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Any ideas? Don't get too technical on me. I know enough about comps to be dangerous to myself. I have a geek that I take it to for anything major. lol Thanks. Or maybe my new ISP parameters aren't set correctly. Al :skistooge:

Are you still on Netscape 1.0 SkiStooge? Seriously though, I don't know. Have you never been able to vote on a poll?

The 'Vote now' button does use javascript. Could be that you have javascript disabled and your suffering cause of it. You can set that in your browser.

Maybe God is punishing you for being an AOL member in the past...
AOL(Army Of Losers) ;)

Seriously.... Check your security settings..
Are you working through a router of some sort?
When I crank up the security on my router I tend to not be able to do things like surveys...

Stoogie: If you're blocking pop-ups you won't see polls. They are pop-ups.

Try this link:

Thats gotta be the problem...
I hate Popups.... But I have to deactivate the anti-popup thinga-ma-bobie to see polls and stuff...

I bet the pop-up thing is what it is. I'll disable it and try it in the morning. At school right now . Thanks all. :skistooge:

I do some internet development things that work fine on IE and Netscape sometimes react differently on AOL...

Also - I can't stand the fact that they've generated mountains of trash with all the mailers of disks and wot-not...

I got my Dad on AOL... He loves it... It's easy for him

AOL == SOL. Why? Becuase it is mostly used by the less computer literate. Not liking AOL is pretty much a requirement for the techies these days, and quite frankly it's cliched.

Not liking AOL is like not wearing a helmet... "I'm too good for that" or "I live on the edge" kinda crap.

AOL is the main reason many people are online today and learning more and more. Maybe they will not need AOL someday, but I don't see why. It doesn't cost much more than a standard dial up, and it DOES THE JOB.

That's my opinion.

That's my opinion. It's funny, I used to have AOL because that was all I could get for the internet when I was down in So. VT. I couldn't stand the whole "pre-packaged" feel to it. There was little to no customizability (is that a word?). But it did work. It got me online, then I minimized it and ran IE. I still don't like AOL, and would not subscribe to it, but by default I have AOL stock (poor me). I'm pretty pissed about that, because it used to be TW stock, and after the merger it all went to siht...

The same could be said for almost all stocks. But the bear market seems over and it looks like the start of a new bull run.
