I had my first ever Tuckerman Ale on tap. I've been drinking it for years out of the bottle but nothing beets and ice cold draft beer. I think Tuckerman Ale moved into the top slot for my favorite beer which I don't consider to be a good thing.

Here why:

It's more available than my favorite beer and it's cheaper than my favorite beer. Therefore, I can drink twice as much for half the price leafing me a painful hangover.

My favorite beer: Anchor Steam and costs over $9 per six pack.

DMC - your not alone I am a beer snob too.

Magic Hat was what I drank at the Wetlands in NYC but now that it's closed down, I have problems finding it... :(

Still waiting for Fat Tire to make it to NYC...

You guys are lucky. Other than Tuckerman Ale the beer selection in NH sucks. I can't find a store that has a selection of more than 20 - 30. I am used stores that carried over 300.

kfarrar: NH beer selection includes Long Trail and often a non-#9 Magic hat. Vt is better, but we aren't completely lost.

I had some Pumpkinhead this weekend, and I liked it.

Anchor Steam is up to something around here (Eastern MA). This weekend I found the Porter in a local "licka stoah".

I knew this would bring out some great conversation. I went camping this past weekend and we were on a very tight budget so we bought Moose Light in cans because they were almost half price. I was kind of embarassed to be buying the stuff but as it turned out to be a good idea, we almost ran out
Also don't forget, Canadian Light beer is about the equivilant of Regular American Beer.
Either way I thought I'd throw it out there as the beer on tap this week to see what kind of responses I'd get...

Uh... HSA is Hampshire Ale, isn't it?

Hampshire Special Ale... yes it is.

By DL Geary brewing Company.

We were visiting my sister-in-law in Portland, and we stopped to get some beer. Suzy went in to buy the beer, and said some guy was wathing her decide what beer to get, and when she decided on Geary's this guy said, "Awsome!" and gave her his card. It was DL Geary.

I feel bad. I support all of the alkys in the making but I personally just about quit drinking when I realized that I was not doing it responsibly enough. OK, enough preaching! I still have a couple in social situations but I sometimes miss my hangover days, lol (High production beer of choice for me: Labatts Blue---Thank God for the Canadians!!!!) . Damn! Now I want one and I'm sitting here in Advanced Web class and I can't! Bummer. Have fun, be safe. Al :skistooge:

I'm not a big Labatt fan, however. Last night after work they coughed up a bunch of 15 packs of Labatt Blue. 15 packs just screw up the bussers and Bartenders fridge counts so Labatt said write em off for the staff. Nice way to end the night. Got home at 4:30 after also scoring a Rum Paralizer (sp?) that some retard paid for but didn't pick up. 6:45 came really early this morning. I think I want to pull a George Kastanza (sp?) and have a nap under my desk right now.

Rickards or Mick's on tapNever heard of Rickards or Mick's... Can you get them in the US? How many beers does Canada brew? Does each Province have it's own special brew??

Why am I asking so many questions?

It may be a big county but don't most Canadians live near(relative the it's huge size) the southern border?

Why am I asking so many questions? We have tons of choices of beer. Canadian beer, local beer, foreign beer, even American Beer!

Mick's and Richards are well know brands. Get them on tap just about anywhere. Gad I don't know where they come from, my task is just to drink it and don't ask questions! :)

Well I'm off :teardrop: and by co-incidence, off to a :wedding: for a few days (see I Can ALMOST Smell It! (http://timefortuckerman.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=000839) for more on that topic...

Have fun all!

Any of you Canadians familiar with Raftsmans beer? I think it comes from a small brewery in Montreal. One of the best I've ever had. Yum Yum.

[It may be a big county but don't most Canadians live near(relative the it's huge size) the southern border? [/QB]Yeah most live relatively close to the border. I'm about an hour from the the border. I guess I was trying to say that it's a lot like the states. Lots of big and small breweries. I live in New Brunswick which is a small province both in size and in population and we have Moosehead Breweries which ships world wide. And for smaller micro brews we've got Pickeroons, Taps, and the Pumphouse (you have to try their blueberry beer). Those are the only ones I know of. I'm sure there is probably a few on the north shore which borders on Quebec.

I am pretty sure it is one of the unibroue selections. We have a buch of micro's here in Toronto. I used to play in the steam whistle brewery pipe band till the brewery turned off the taps so to speak.

Yeah most live relatively close to the border. I'm about an hour from the the border. I remember seeing a night satalite shot of Canada and was amazed at the pattern of lights... All clustered around the boarder...

As far as beer goes... It's tough to compare... You guys have some of the best! Tastey and gives you a great buzzzzzzz.... Plus you can legally smoke Cuban cigars too!!

And you have British Columbia!! (how cool is that!?)

Met some people from Regina once... I almost spit my beer out when they pronounced it... :)

The one in Vancouver? The popular press (Time, Newsweek etc) gives the impression there are several to many.
