in Crawford Notch Friday with the parental units who were visiting...

3 feet of snow depth atleast along the railway tracks. More than a third of the ice climbs in some spots were under snow. I have never seen depths so deep in December.

Powder..not wet stuff. Todays rain should lead to a cycle in the notches, etc, and the freze afterwords will put bas snice on mid angled ice climbs, but gullies should get some nice neve in a few days, and hardpack skiing then?

But where's the next snowstorm? NAO -ive by New years, so perhaps then?
