So I have Scarpa Matrix boots and just ordered 175 BD Kilowatts w/ Freerides......will the Matrix be a burly enough boot to drive this ski? I beleive it to be fine for a while, but am not opposed to upgrading to a 4 buckle.
Im not super agressive YET...but plan to be very soon once i get my Gnar legs back.
Opinions?

Opinions? At least a dozen times I have arrived at the bottom of a run and noticed that my DenaliTT's were still in "walk-mode"...some of those runs were better than not bad, too.
Anyway...yes, they will do. On the other hand, you are correct, something beefier will be better...being a strong young guy you might want to consider some Tornados if Ski-Alpinism is secondary. If Ski-Alpinism is primary, the DenaliTTs are a good option, I have had mine on WI-3 and on 5.6 rock; so far they climb better than me.

I'm guessing you could do it, but it'd be kinda like taking a Dodge Viper and putting a Ford Pinto engine in it...

You could do it....but why?
Back in the day, lottsa guys put 283 Vette engines into Austin Healey 3000's ....most of them crashed because the power & weight exceeded the stopping and turning power of those skinny tires!

Hey, I think you might be able to put Tornado tongues in your boots if they're similar to mine (spirit t3's). That should make them a bit stiffer...

SO if I were to replace my Matrix Boots, do I go Scarpa Spirit 4 or Garmont Megarides?
I want Dynafit compatable boots for the eventual switch.

A little bird told me that the Spirit is a bit stiffer.
I demoed Kilowatt's last weekend and I was driving them with Matrixes.
They were a size too long for me so I didn't spend too much time on them and didn't get into the bumps, but I could carve them with a Matrix. It's a chattery ski when carved, regardless; you'll probably eventually hit some boot limitations in the bumps though...

I only have a couple days on my Spirit 3's from the end of last season. They were light and warm, very comfy but not high performancy. I'll see how they do this weekend. The 4's look totally awesome. I bet at the end of the season though you can find them for a song. (Mine went for 150 Shipped!!!)
