It looks like it was a sweet weekend for Tux, but I gotta add it was an AMAZING weekend to be a Red Sox fan. We just swept the Yankees in a set of very nice baseball. I was at the Friday game and was glued to the TV for the other 2.

Red Sox got 4 home runs in a row tonight.

Gigadity Gigaty Goo.

Now I can watch the Simpsons.

OUCH! Congrats. I watched tonite with all my "Met-Sox" fan friends; a localized phenomenon where Mets fans resent the Yankees so much that they have adopted the Sox. At least I know you guys up there love the Sox for their own sake, not just as spoilers. Those homers were insane. I just feel bad for Chase Wright who pitched his second game in the majors and in doing so, holds the ignoble distinction of being the second pitcher ever to give up four homers in a row. Can you ever recover from setting a record like that?

I was there tonight for the back to back to back to back homers! So crazy. Fenway was electric.

I was there tonight
That reminds me - you could have been there friday night too - we had an extra ticket, but the only # I have is your 802 number, which didn't answer.

Great Sox weekend indeed, but it's only April. Yanks pitching rotation is in a world of hurt right now, but that will change before season's end. They're still good enough offensively to outscore most teams even with bad pitching, so if'/when they get their starters back healthy, and possibly add Clemens to the mix (you gotta figure they're the top contender with his friend Petitte on the team), things could be very different come Sept/Oct.

So, yes, it was a great weekend and I took delight in it, but all Sox fans know a thing or two about early season success and late season collapses. Hell, remember last season when the Sox just ate the entire National League's lunch during interleague? What happened after that?

I'm all about cautious optimism with these guys.

I'll be at tonight's game - Halladay vs. Tavares - not exactly a great matchup.

Not a fun series from my point of view but it should be a good race towards the end at least.
