More K-Mart jive:
"Look for top to bottom skiing and riding from Killington Peak via the K1 Express Gondola and Glades Triple Chairlift. 8 trails for 3 distinct runs and 3+miles of terrain for upper intermediate and advanced levels."
That's 3+miles out of 87 miles total terrain, by their own calculation.

Skilas had lots-a class last night, wearing a very nice sports jacket, and showing up with a bottle of lovely wine. That's A+ class in my book.

Kmart does not appear to be in my immediate future. But I might be going to ME for the weekend where I might try to poach some turns at a nelsap hill. That is all assuming I don't go to NYC event (http://www.chocolateshow.com)

Hey M@, or anyone else who went....how about some :camera: for those of us who have to live vicariously?

Great day. Did about 20 runs. Only 3 real different trails open, but the snow was amazing, and the snow guns weren't running so it was very comfy skiing on bumps all day. And then around 1pm it started dumping which really filled in the nooks and cranies.

Where did you get that classy avatar?
Pretty sure that's rime in that picture. We got there around 9:30am and it wasn't too crowded. By lunch time it was getting pretty dangerous, but by 2pm most folks were gone and it was downright excellent.
One thing I noticed, everyone there was a pretty good slider. No one stopping in the middle or traversing and not too many people stopped at all. Also: Almost no-one was falling which suprised me becuase the bumps got huge by 11pm.

Overall, yesterday (Tuesday) was surprisingly uncrowded, with surprisingly deep base depths and a surprising variety of terrain . . . as well as surprisingly big soft moguls! (I had thought skinning up for almost 4k of earned vert at the 'Loaf on Oct 24 was lots of work, but pounding those bumps from opening bell until 3:40 -- when the summit vis & overall weather conditions started to get a bit scary -- may have been even more work.)
