The Chute

Does the chute look like it will be skiable by friday??? I'm not familiar with the frequentness and regularity of Tuck's avalanches; so I'm wondering if it & the headwall goes before thursday will the Chute be skiable for Friday/ the Weekend? Or does anybody think the chute is just too risky and should hold off till the following week. Geez- it doesnt look like April up there!

The only way to be sure is to check in with the rangers when you are there - conditions can change in minutes frmo (relatively) safe to dangerous...not counting factoring in human -influenced events.

From the discussions coming from the avalanche forecast and the weather forecast for next week, it looks like it will continue to be sketchy conditions.....again, conditions can change real fast.

On the bright side, it opens up the possibility of GREAT skiing in May....
