Tucks trip this during the week?

So my weekends are filled with soccer and work, so there is no time to head up to tucks. I figure my only shot is a weekday. (i have a feeling im going to be sick that day, guess i cant go to school). I want to try to get up there before the Sherburne is gone cause ive never been able to ski it top to bottom. Based on the weather, do you guys think this week would be an option, or how about next week. (I also have to squeeze sox opening day (april 10) in there haha yessss i scored two tickets!)

I'm not sure about a re-birth, but the season will be extended if they do get snow. I could see the Sherburne coming back if they get several feet of snow. Its going to take quite a bit to cover up the damage in the ravine though. Icy cliffs just don't hold snow very well.

i just checked the weather, looks like its gonna be collddddddd up there for the next two weeks...might have to put off the trip for a couple weeks

Probably a good idea. Spring is going to be on hold for awhile. Mount Washington could re-emerge with a mid-winter look.

traversing is safe, saw a lot of people doing that. make sure its not mad icy when you go. have fun.

I've never skied Tuck's but am gonna this year. Any tips for a newbie?Don't run up the trail, take your time and look around. Rest a bit at Hermit Lake and seek out the Rangers for their information about the conditions.

Bring a smile, pack a good lunch and plenty of snacks for energy. Bring 2 water bottles, 1 liter each; fill one at home and carry the other one empty. About 100 paces up the trail from Hermit Lake there is a water pump at left. Stop there and refill your depleted bottle and fill the other one.

If you are an early bird, make sure your edges are sharp as the corn will be firm and slick* until it loosens up in the sunlight and/or warmer air.

Don't worry if you are solo...you will not be alone. No day to The Ravine is complete without making a donation to the Mount Washington Volunteer Ski Patrol. The donation box is attached to the wall of the Caretaker's Hut on the Deck.

* It may not be ice if there are no fish under it....but it can be mighty unforgiving anyway!

and it's a nice new pump too. one or two heaves on the handle (no more circular cranking :) ) and it blasts water profusely. filled my nalgene in two pumps. very naaase, as borat would say.
