Nice pic DMC.
Honestly I don't know the name.
I suck for the figures.

I'm sad to not have ski pics of me until 2001-02. And since 2001-02, all I have from me are extreme ski pics anyway. I can even not put a pic of me skiing on a more decent terrain, cause I simply don't have pics of that.

I have a few ones of 1989-90, at my 3rd year of skiing, but it's not really representative......

I forgot you DMC... Yes, I landed both. At the end of seasons, I'm used to pass a lot of time on the big airs of Mt Saint-Sauveur. I suck for figures, but I don't care about landing after the end of the landing, so I just go downhill to the jumps to do great distances. I love to fly over 50-60' long.

But I don't want to be the only one to be laughed at neither :D :p hehehe

So...... Did you ever notice the weird flowers growing somewhere on the Tuckerman Ravine trail. I saw them when I was hiking with Elwood. Also, I thought I had hallucinations looking the Boott Spur, but the pics look like I saw the reality. What can be that huge rock above Dodge's drop ?

(hmm, I have a lot of time to waste... it's not going to be the same next week unfortunately :()

PS : it looks like the URL device doesn't work actually... I mean, if I try to post an URL, it just write the source code instead of creating a link

Ish.... I lost a lot of quality passing from BMP to JPG... ouch

Jolly J
08-22-2003, 01:34 PM
It's posting the url. If you want to post the image click image. Then put in the url

Frankontour
08-22-2003, 01:42 PM
Jolly : I can't post the images directly in the thread, cause it's blocked by T4T. Anyway, the image is part of the page, on Yahoo. I seriously wish I had a place to put some pics online....

Normally, I use the URL function, to do a title for the link I want to add, but this time, it wasn't working. that's all.

Btw, don't wait for me too much like yesterday morning. I just got a 2h30 ski movie from JSpin, so I run to the TV !!!! Back in late afternoon ;)

skicdave
08-22-2003, 02:09 PM
Franko. T4T doesn't blow images at all. Click on the IMG button under 'Instant UBB Code' to insert an image.

Regarding the loss of quality when passing from BMP to JPG.... hey I think you gained on the quality with all my heads!... no... maybe thats just quantity... sorry :p

Frankontour
08-22-2003, 05:09 PM
Dave, I know I can add images under the "instant UBB code", I did it often here, but when I don't have them online somewhere (98% of times on FTO), I can't upload them here directly from my PC.

And even though I put them on Yahoo (geocities/photo album), it doesn't work with the UBB code image insertion.

That's the drama of my life ;)

skicdave

Sure it works using an image from Yahoo... see?

http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/users/3f05ec38_107df/bc/Mes+photos/Dave+Joke+w+Elwood2.jpg?bcIJpR_A_1XDgPyC

<blockquote><font size="1" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif,arial">code:<hr /><pre style="font-size:x-small; font-family: monospace;">The URL is long... http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/users/3f05ec38_107df/bc/Mes+photos/Dave+Joke+w+Elwood2.jpg?bcIJpR_A_1XDgPyC </pre><hr /></blockquote><font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif,arial">Right click on the image you have at Yahoo, click on properties and copy the complete URL (Yahoo address for photos are long, so don't miss anything). then click on the 'Image' UBB code button within Post a Reply on T4T and past the complete URL of the photo.. voila!

... gad I'm glad I don't have Elwoods head!

Frankontour

Honestly, if you tried to post a pic in the thread, I don't see it...

But I will try although I already did exactly the way you described and it didn't work.

http://cf.f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/frankontour502/vwp?.dir=/Mes+photos&.dnm=T4T+-+Dave+%26+Elwood.jpg&.view=t

As you can see, it doesn't work and it's a chance for me, as on this pic, you still have your head... but one of the girl have the head of Elwood ;) lolol

skicdave

Well looking at your posted code, looks like you have an incomplete URL again. I think that is your problem. Its a long URL, so make sure you click and drag your mouse across the whole URL.

Come on now Franko! :p

Frankontour
08-22-2003, 07:44 PM
Dave, your pic doesn't seem to work better than mine. I mean, there is a square with a "red X" into it, but I don't see a pic where you tried to post one with a Yahoo link.

I copied the URL, so I don't think I could have done a mistake somewhere.

For now, I'm more working on a family pic...

here is what it gives until now... you really must take a look to this ! and it's just the beginning ;) Does someone have a winter pic from Hojo's without nobody in ?? should be better than a summer pic for the TMC members official photo ;)

Family pic (http://cf.f1.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/frankontour502/vwp?.dir=/Mes+photos&.dnm=Family+picture...+hehe.jpg&.view=t)

250... woohoo ! ;)

LOL M@

I would need some courses of this category of words ;)

I think we have a bigger vocabulary of this kind, in french... especially the Quebekers.

""
- Sh** it doesn't work anymore
- It was working
- I reboot my computer
- it doesn't work anymore
- ***... ???""

French traduction : (don't let the kids read)

- Osti d'caliss de Tabarnack de ciboire d'esti d'marde, à marche pu la simonac de calisse de ciboire d'esti d'marde de gogosse
- ça marchait talleure

Too funny... great job on your English Franko, we love it! Maybe we should have a french version of Time for Tuckerman such as heure pour tuckerman...

The site intro would be something like this...

Bienvenue au tous guide et communauté entourants pour le ski extrême au ravin de Tuckerman, bâti Washington, New Hampshire!

I could always make the site bilingual...

Anyways I'm wondering if Yahoo does something to prevent images from being referenced on another site... could we be, I've heard people mention issues with Yahoo that sound similar to this.

Well Franko you'll just have to include a link to your photos (if that is stable even). If you have some you want to post on T4T, I can setup a member directory for you and you can upload them as I mentioned before. Its still a hands on task for me. One of these days I setup some more usuable for storage for member photos.

It's good to know that I retained something from my schooling at U of Ottawa...all those Quebec curse words...thanks Frank.

Frankontour
08-23-2003, 08:10 PM
It's a pleasure, for the curse words :D

it's ok for just an english version for T4T, Dave ;) I mean, anyway, if you want to go to Tucks, you have to practice your english (especially the "Hi", "Good Morning", "Hello" etc, that we've said 1000 times last sunday) lol

I think the best traduction for "Time for Tuckerman" would be "Le temps de Tuckerman" or so. But I prefer the english name anyway !

For Yahoo, don't know exactly what's the problem. I think it may remains in our temporary internet files or so... and when we reboot the computer and come back in the thread, it have disappeared. Meanwhile, the other users have never seen the pic you thought was correctly put online.

So for now, I will continue with the links, I think. But if you do an easy to access and upload account for the users, it would be cool to put some pics in my account and after to put it in the threads without give you more work to do.
