So who is out saving some pennies at boxing days sales or maybe carving up some trails instead?

We're taking the day off (well its already a holiday but what the heck) after 6 days travelling, visiting, carving up turkeys and opening presents.

Was enticed by the promises of Boxing Day with 256MB CF cards going for a mere $59 Cdn, RW CD drives for $4.99 and rechargeable wireless mice for just $19.99 but alas I resisted the urge and stayed home to goof off and drink wine. Oh and what about $39.99 for a twin pack of FRS radios!

Happy trails to those who found some Christmas snow.

Oops... I got caught in day 2 of boxing day sales... came home with a CD writer for $29, a 256MB Flash card for $59 and an iPAQ 4150 for $559 Cdn.

Snow come soon or I bees broke!

I decided to ski, instead to save ;)

(but congrats for your good deals !)

Great ski friday at Alta (in Quebec) and an awesome day yesterday (sat) at Shefford, with once again the 3 young deers managing to advance in the deep snow. Zero line-up for the lifts on both days, 16-24" of powder yesterday (6-10" friday in the north)(I don't have legs anymore). At Shefford, in one glade of 25 degrees steep, it was tough to advance, even though the powder was enough light.

The week before Xmas I landed a deal at that price for a pair of GMRS radios with chargers and batteries (actually, on sale for $65, with $25 additional mail-in rebate). 5 mile range, 1 watt power and, having used them the past three days at Cannon, they are sweet! 99 noninterference codes per channel worked well, and they reach from the Cannon base around the mountain to the Mittersill base. How did I ever live without these things?
