Hey, I'm a little embarassed that I didn't make it once last year. The weather on the weekends didn't pan out, and the one day that looked "saxable", I had a wedding I couldn't get out of. First time in 9 years I didn't make it in at least once. I will do my best to get there every weekend that the weather will allow me to do what I do. I'm heavy this year, anyone have a llama I could borrow? :-) /Saxman

Hey - I carry enough weight on my own! (and I'm not talking about my pack - that's partly how I got my name) I'm still holding out for some possibility of a quick day trip up this year (at least I was there on 1/5 for Washington summit, looking down from Lion Head). It doesn't look that great for me though. In any event, I will bring my daughter up sometime this summer for an overnight. If I didn't you'd be reading about the crazed man in the papers. M@, 3 of us too are heading up full moon style mid-late Thurs. evening. We've got a total of 8 or so coming, think we're going to run into problems with spots @ Hermit like we did during last years LATE Fri. p.m. arrival??? Hoping to minimize the chances.

Anyway, looking forward to putting faces with names, and the festivities that ensue!

I've been up thursday nights for the past couple years, and there's usually an entire lean-to empty. I can't imagine having a problem. With 8 though, you might not find an empty one and might have to split up? I doubt it though.

I'm going to probably start the hike around 9pm or later.
