Anyone have any beta on the current conditions of Mt. Cardigan? I would hate to make the drive and get skunked. Z=

I'd say pretty crappy. There may be 2"-4" on the ground. I drove past that neck of the woods this past Sunday & it was pathetic.

AMC had a workshop on Cardigan last weekend - apparently snow was enough for turns - 6 inches of fresh on a firm base, even ridable up above the head of Dukes into the snowfield - much better than expected. Not sure about conditions now though.

Was there recently...... VERY windblown higher up and on exposed ridges but the sleet/rain/ice base from a few weeks ago is still there and holding some snow. Not much though. You'll find deeper in the eastern facing hollows etc but it gets sketchy higher up. Forget western flank... mostly blown away.

It's been consistantly windy up in this region since last Thursday with much higher gusts in the past few days.

You'll find some, but you have to LOOK FOR IT. Good luck.

It was quite fun last weekend. Dukes and Whitney were better then Alexandria. If they got any snow this week it would be better, but it's certainly skiable.

This is from Whitney:
