Doc,
The only thing that we didn't use was the roll of duct tape!
Maybe next time we can rent some Llamas, and just walk up and drink beer the whole way. Let the Llama carry all of that stuff!!! As long as it doesn't poop on the :lunchrocks: !!!
Dave, can we get a Llama graemlin? :D :D
elwood
05-21-2003, 11:47 AM
Speaking of which, forget all the hi-tech stuff, all we need is a Llama to bring up the keg!
Anyone who wants to come over and drink my keg this weekend (those of us who are not fortunate enough to be hitting the ravine...) Email me, and we can enjoy the Oatmeal Stout on the deck at my house here in Burlington!

Sorry, they only allow :packdonkey: 's, not lamas :p

If was going to be anywhere within two hours of Burlington I would join you for some o' that stout. And we actually have a llama farm across the street from my Dad's place...
I'm not sure I would call a golf bag caddy "High Tech" :p

:packdonkey: LOL
A :packdonkey: works about as good as a llama... :D
:skilas: , golf carts are much more hi-tech than a :packdonkey: ! They don't produce any waste!

Elwood, just wait til I perfect my battery powered walk behind, tracked vehicle :D

That sounds cool, do you have a prototype? And how much weight can it carry? Is like a robot? Will it be smart enough to go to the fridge and grab a beer? How much will one cost me if it can fetch beer from the fridge?
:D

BETTER!, it will have a refridgerated unit on it and you can have it home in on your position using GPS, however, you will have to reach in and extract your own beer. I have plans for a model that will take a keg and tap too
I am hoping that it will be able to haul 200# up and back with an overnight of refridgeration. But the batteries will have to be fairly hefty for that.
Well..., that's the dream anyway.

How about this: Instead of making you reach in and grab the beer, it has a catapault arm on it that will wing the beers to you. Since it is already homing in on your position via GPS, it should only take some minor calculations to figure out the distance and trajectory, etc...

K Las... one for you :seqway: . Its actually a segway which is capable of transporting a single keg up the slope. You'll need to develop a remote control for it however, so it can follow you up the TRT.

segway!!!!!! dave you are a genius! now all i need is 50,000 to buy one! and i belive one of the by products of segways power system is pureified water. i saw this when it came out on dateline or somthing like that, so we could kill two birds with one stone!

I SCUBA AS WELL AND I WAS THINKING THAT POSSIBLY NEXT YEAR FOR THE INFURNO I WOULD HAUL UP A LOG ON THE BACK OF MY BCD! IT WOULD FIT PERFECTLY, AND I COULD MAYBE GET IN A DIVE AT HERMIT LAKE!
Don't dive off the TOP of hermit lake shelters:
Found this story at: http://www.tuckerman.org/accident/Summaries01/otherincidents2001.htm
---
4-1-2001: The victim snowboarded off the top of a Hermit Lake lean-to landing on his back and head. The victim was disoriented and showed signs of a possible head injury. He was attended to by the Mount Washington Volunteer Ski Patrol. He was transported to Pinkham via the USFS Snowcat and transported to the hospital by friends. The rescue took 3 people about 2 hours to complete.

Since it is already homing in on your position via GPS, it should only take some minor calculations to figure out the distance and trajectory, etc... Indeed, if I built in a self winding trebuchet (http://www.trebuchet.com/kit/warwolf/) it could wing beers to the top of the headwall.

All we'd need is a giant net to catch the beers in! Fantastic, :skilas: I think you are on to something here!!!

IF ELWOOD OR I GOT OUR HANDS ON A WARWOLF THERE WOULD SOON BE A RELATED ARTICLE IN THE FREE PRESS ABOUT UNKNOWN FLYING PUNKINS OR UFP'S. I'M SURE WE WOULD FIND OUT REAL SOON WHAT THE BACK OF A POLICE CAR LOOKED LIKE IF WE HAD ONE OF THOSE THINGS! AND ELWOOD JUST GOT OUT! :D
elwood

Forget that Doc,
The most fun thing with the Warwolf would be getting really large boulders and winging them into Lake Champlain! We could play try to hit the boat! :D

I think this version of a Trebuchet (http://www.trebuchet.com/kit/tabletop/) should keep you guys out of too serious trouble. :D
Not to mention keeping the boaters safe from LSMs
elwood

:skilas: , that trebuchet might get us seriously injured! If we can't huck stuff over 100 feet, we are going to end up getting bored and shooting them at each other! ;)
