I log in this morning and my avatar has a question mark face. I log in this afternoon and I see my my own mug, handsome one that it is. ;)

Actually we have a new piece of software that hunts out your mug by scanning your computer for a web cam or photos found on your computer (hopefully clean ones).

This magic software then creates your usericon and associates your mug to your userid.

Patent pending.

wait a minute, are you saying that this software searches through our computers? Isn't that a bit of an invasion of privacy?

There should definitely be a way to opt out of having this software scanning our computers. What if it is a public computer or a work one that we don't scanned.
