The problem DMC is that even at avatar size (set to 75x75 on T4T) the file size will still be pretty big (Your animate gif is currently 116K).
Avatars should ideally be 3K or less. The average on T4T right now is just over 2K.

Pretty hard to compress since there are so many frames. Personally I'd say bag animated Avatars (sorry M@). I've seen many boards were everybody starts using them and it gets to be a bit much on the eyes. Same with those bouncing twirling graemlins.

I agree animated gifs are totally gay. But I couldn't help it ya know? Kinda bored on a thursday night... stupid function wants a Word data type that I don't know where it freaking is. Palm development used to be very easy.

So I guess the animated gif was just a really good one, and so is DMC's, and as far as load time, it only has to load the gif once and then it is cached, and anyone who can't swallow a few 10k files is gotta wake up and smell the broadband.

I was thinking about it, and the size limitation on an avatar might be failed. The image only loads once on most machines, and you're signature file is over 10k.

A guy that owns a French Poodle (Even if he's a heterosexual man) is gay... My use of the word "gay" is not to imply sexual choice.. :) I see guys walking little dogs around NYC - I know the dog belongs to the wife - but they look gay..
they try and compensate by talking deep, rolling up their sleeves and talking about football...

Dogs CAN be gay as we saw on Southpark... George Clooney played the part of the dogs voice.

M@ Hey you caught me! Ya I abuse my own rights I suppose. I'm sure I'll be changing it shortly anyways. I agree, it is a tad large in both H/W and in KB.

Right after Ridin' DMC clears the upper rock band it looks like there's a some frames where there's just snow in the background. If the pixel density is good enough, there's a nice move in that area...it would look pretty good as an avatar.
