I found this the other day..not sure of all the details but it might be worth it for you quebec/ottawa/vermont types that ski in Quebec.

it seems like it can be used at most resorts, Trembland, Owls Head, Ste. Anne, St. Marie are a few of the hills listed. I think it may be cheaper than the Tremblant season's pass.

We buy SkiMax tickets for Tremblant. This year SkiMax are $43 which is a $16.25 savings off the regular ticket price of $63.50.
Join the Ski Extreme Club (http://skiextreme.ca) (Ottawa based). Many members join just to get the SkiMax tickets (membership is $15 and is open to anybody/anywhere).
Other discounts for Canucks in the East, visit Powder Patrol (http://www.powderpatrol.com)

Considering I paid less than 400$ of tickets last year for 37 days, I think 999$ is a bit high. Although this year it's again the big rush to have the "Ski Passe Partout" and I'm not sure if I will succeed to find one (last year the 15000 have been sold in 2 days). This year, the 21000 should be sold in 1 day. 30$ for rebates up to 50% in almost all the resorts of the province... easy to understand !
Thanks for the info, though !
