As some, or at least 13.5% of you know... I like numbers! So here is my 'late lunch time' analysis of member locations. Not perfect.... yet as many mispell state names and make up their own abreviations etc, or say silly things like they live on poo lane (where is that!!). Nevertheless here is my first daft at

What... there is another user of Laval here ?
I put "Laval, Quebec" on my details, so I'm not the snobish ! :p
and 19 users in Quebec ?? Except LeFemmesauCanada (about) and me, who are the other ones ? (not actives, I imagine)
Great Stats :skicdave:
I rush to believe the crowd from Massachusetts... although it's true that Boston is the closest big city from Tucks.

:skicdave: , did you consider people who put their state's initials instead of the word written out? I did a search just the other day to see who else is registered from Maine, and found entries under "ME". Interesting #s!

Ontario, Toronto, Ottawa etc. I wrote a program to extract all the locations and then look for specific patterns for each state/province. Needs a bit more work though to whiddle down those 913 members.

Hmmm, I think perhaps a road trip is in order to descend on 14 Hunts Dr, Greensville Ont, just because that person was so specific. Perhaps they can host the local beer meeting of Canadian T4T members?

Nice work, :skicdave: ! Geocoding addresses isn't just work, it's fun! Among the 1255 are a few GIS folk, including myself & Targeehucker, who do stuff like this to pay for our skiing. I'll email you the map I made from your table.

Lftgly, you and T'hucker can make GIS pay?
And here I am using just ArcView for kicks. You can find some interesting places to ski using slope, aspect, and vegetation analysis...

I want to enhance the program however to process the 913 or so that were rejected so we have a more accurate breakdown. Now I notice the numbers aren't adding up... ugh! Anywho's let me finish the breakdown and we can go from there.
I think I already mentioned this: But my house is excatly 100 miles from the lunch rocks.

Hell yeah I make GIS pay... Why dont you think you see maps made by me on this site. Dave cant afford me thats why!!! hahahaha :D Honestly, I would like to contribute some techno junk to this site I just havent had time. Maybe it has to do with the dreaded geocoding word. bagr even after cleaning databases for many hours I am working at about 75% coding rate with this current data that needs to be 95% arghhhh... I love when people want to see addresses mapped and they send PO Boxes... :lips: :bum: Anybody need any consulting work done??? Forget skiing I need to buy a house :) BTW if thats a shameless plug I can also male model, instigate debauchery (specializing in bachelor parties), and I porvide entertainment at local ski areas (pissing off ski patrol and scaring gaper families)
