- a confirmed masshole (I scored better that an 85 on the masshole quiz ... the main thing that kept me from scoring better was my taste in beer.)

Judging by numerous field reports North and West of here(Claremont, N.H.) there will be some turns made tomorrow and even one confirmed report of a skinning up Mad River Glen. This tops, at least in the matter of seasonal integration last years Oct.29 storm. Let us all hope this will be a season of abundant winter weather in the New England.

No Rain! No Rain! No Rain! No Rain! No Rain! No Rain! No Rain! ...
From an outdoor concert when he played solo. It was raining until about 3 minutes after he came on stage and started the whole crowd chanting No Rain ... It started raining again as we were pulling out of the parking lot after the show.
Damn, that was a great show... the ticket was a 21st birthday present from Jenn Newlon. We were on the lawn with a tarp and raincoats and he just seemed to be happy we were there...

Anyone know what the latest is for Jay Peak or anywhere else for that matter! I have just crawled out of my summer hibernation cooler as I felt snow in the air. I have my old skis ready for anything worth doing..... It has been a long time since Mt. Hood in August (apologies I never got around to reporting on that)

Hey, I dont spend my time taking online quizzes...
Id rather confirm my own Masshole-ness by growing up there from the tender age of 5 to 18. But darn, its nice to now be in a place where people will actually stop their cars and let me cross the road!!!

I went down Mt. Mansfield today. It was awesome. Climed to 3,800ft and then got all the way down to the lodge parking lot! Let's hope this is a sign for what is to come!!!

Looks like the lionhead winter route is officially open, or the summer route is unofficially closed....
Looks like light snow all week up top. I'm shooting for a summit this weekend and that just dropped to like a 10% chance now. nice shots awf!

Can the general public ski the service road??
Not really familiar with that term, but there ain't so many roads on the rockpile, so I assume they's talkin 'bout the otto road. If so, the answer is "ya sure, you betchya." Just watch out for autos if it's open and snowcats if it's not.
