Tucks next Sat? (12/13)

Roll call. Who's doing next Sat? I'm definitely gonna try to do a day hike up on Sat. Unless the Sherburn is skiiable (doubtful still) it'll be just a hike. Still, a hike to Tucks is better than no Tucks at all. Plus, it gives me a reason to camp at Pinkham in my beautiful white and rust Taurus wagon! What's the earliest anyone has seen the Sherburn open? OK, Have fun, be safe. Al :skistooge:

I am planning on hiking/skinning up of Friday Night. I'll be there till early afternoon on Saturday so I should definately run into you.

Sherburn was skiable pretty early last year. I think my first turns were somewhere around 1/11 or so. That was the earliest I've skied it top to bottom, but I tend not to bother trying until it's good and loaded up.

Might be a while unless we get a big Nor'eastaer in the next week or two.

Check that... first day was 1/6 and it was a sweet POW day after that huge storm that dumped ~2 ft on the Valley.

I Should be there (USAir!). This will be my second recon. Hopefully, there will be some snow. Its looking like the S. trail could be boardable. I think I'll be traveling on a split (maybe), skinning up the ski trail. Its most likely faster walking. But I need the workout! worse case, I'll hit Wcat for a few in bounds runs :(
