Hey Davester:
When was this time-to-edit function put in? It's irritating. If we don't edit with the speed of lightening, we can't edit anymore. :( Why was the system changed?

Nothing was changed mumster. First I have heard of anyone having an issue with editting. Can you give me more details? We're you not logged in at the time?

Aw! Figured out what you are saying... you don't get a time out when editting, you just can't go back days later to re-edit a message. Thats a standard feature. No biggie though. If you post a report and want to add photos later, just post the photos in another message. This is best since people usually end up viewing the bottom of the thread if they have already been following the thread and would end up missing any re-edits of the original message.
Does that make sense? Hope I was clear enough.
PS. We have .0005mm of snow on the ground!! Whoopie!
I can understand both sides of the argument regarding editing time-out. The biggest "pro" for the functionality is people being able to read a message and be pretty sure it isn't going to change later. I know I read most messages pretty soon after they are posted, and if they were edited I would miss whatever was changed.

As an iveterate fence sitter...I agree with both points of view.
