It must be tough skiing on four legs and all. Lower center of gravity would help though.
Has your pup been to the Ravine?

Cats do not love the snow the way we do. I have a picture of one of my indoor cats when I carried him out in waste-deep snow and plunked him down. He just sat there yowling piteously, so I brought him back inside and tried the same stunt with his sister. I got her outside where she, being no stupe and having watched al the action from the window, got out of my arms and climbed onto my head. no picture of that, unfortunately.

Great pics Elwood I'm thinking we need a new area of the site for viewing all the oddball photos that have appeared on T4T, especially this season. No doubt Elwood would need a special section for him and and all his girlfriends :p
That harem one is one of the best.

Skiing is the least of their talents. Well said, M@.
Not strong skiers, although they are strong at the knees... (Can I say that?)
However, they are good for backrubs after a long ski day.

Back rubs. Thats right - I almost forgot what they were good for. And for drawing a hot for soaking after a hard day of skiing. And for bringing you a towel when you step out of the :hottub:

Has your pup been to the Ravine? She has been up, although just to the bowl. Hasn't followed me down a run yet. I am think Hillmans first. Took her to a few spots last, like cardigan and she loved it. Racing down my tracks, trying to keep up with me, falling on her face.

True... if I manage 3 days a season of semi powder I'm thankful. Tremblant doesn't exactly boast much in the way of powder days, except maybe for the locals living close by.

Elwood - when was that pic taken at Vail? I was out there last Feb, BEFORE all the snow hit hard :( . Did you do Champagne Glades? Steep and Deep? Lovers Leap? Did you ski the front at all?
elwood

kmrn,
I too was out there in Feb. before the snow. We got a little, but nothing compared to what fell a couple of weeks later. I hit Steep and Deep, Lovers Leap and Iron Mask. That wind lip was very exposed that day, and the wind and snow were kicking. It was pretty unpleasant up there, so we tried to stick to the woods. It's hard to see in this pic due to the nasty weather, but here is the lip:

Kmrn, champagne glades is to thE right in that picture (BUT NOT VISIBLE), on the other side of the lift, right? Yeah we hit that one too. I think that was my favorite run that day...

Champagne Glades were sooooooooooo nice, not steep, but just a great run. Yes, you're right, it is way over to the right of that pic. I think that had to have been the 2nd greatest run for me that week, the first being over at the Poma in the Mongolia Bowl, there was NOBODY over there, it was great, untracked snow.

I was so psyched out there. It was my first time at Blue Sky, and I am hooked. I am booking a trip out there again this year. Might wait until March though for a little more snow and spring skiing.

This is my best pic last year. It was very early season at my home mountain. It had snowed 5 days earlier and I was quite surprised to find fresh tracks. I wish I had a camera for some of the actual powder days....

Nic epicture. 800x600 is no problem for my various connections.
As for backrubs: in 2002 we were up there and there was a girl staying in one of the lean-to's who was a professional mesus and was offering backrubs. I got one for my wife Suzy, see seemed to really enjoy it... after humping that pack up the trail a good rub down is a good thing.
Here's a good pix I took last season at sunapea.
This is the kind of skiing I look for. Doesn't have to be UNTRACKED, but only a few tracks and ENDLESS TREES! http://www.weirdtable.org/~m/tuckerman/EndlessTrees.jpg

That looks like some sweet tree skiing. Nicely spaced trees are hard to find.
One key to spacing is deciduous trees. Pines grow to close together. Birch are pretty good, if you can find a mountainside of birch trees, you can probably ski it.
I loooooove trees too!!!! http://www.powderhound.org/2002/OBHunter_12-30-02_Doug_upper_mossy_2.jpg

I loooooove trees too!!!! Me too (though I don't have a handy picture)! M@'s looked to be just perfect for me. So quiet in there. Cuts the wind, too. good visibility even if the trails are foggy (I think the trees break up the fog).

M@ - I do have to agree with you re: not having to be untracked. I, personally, like the crud. I like it in the spring when things get mashed potatoey. I also like groomed, bumps, New England hard pack, you name it. Love it all.
