Hey M@... moon expert I do believe you may beith... :fullmoon:

Do you know of a site that shows where the moon will be in the sky for a selected date? Easy to find out the phase.. but how about where the heck it will appear? Which part of the sky roughly? Can yah point me in the right direction?

Tnx!

The sun rises and sets at about the same speed as the sun, i.e. it'll rise - travel through the sky, and then set. It stays in the same "phase" that whole night (pretty much).

What you need to ask is where the moon will be at a specific TIME and DATE.

To figure that out I use a palm program called "plantearium" - but there are programs online: like this one -

Now I'm curious..... skicdave, why would you need this type of info? Your knuckles getting hairy? Getting long in the face? :cooldog: Or are you positioning yourself to howl at the moon some opportune night? :p

Hmmmmmm...this would come in handy for finding the best full moon nights to be in the bowl at TUX.

Nice water pic!

As for the "wearing only a towel" story and pic.... sounds like it has potential to be an alien abduction story. Lonely dark road at night lit only by the light of the moon... man wearing only a towel wander the dark lonely road out in the wilds somewhere... Yup. It has great story potential! :D

This will raise some eyebrows you know...
BUT it's nothing stranger than the rest of the yahoos on this site. :p
