I like them all, but the first would probably be the most universally appealing.

Another image that typifies the T4T/ravine experience is image 56 in the April 19 group of photos - It's a view of the ravine, in a cloudy haze, looking towards the chute (?from top of lunch rocks)

How about one with "ride it" for the snowboarders in the group? I'm definitely in for one of those. :snowboardstyle:

And the back was gonna be:

I'll get one. And you could put the images up full size on the site and those of us with bubble jeys can down lowd the image and print them on iron on transfers and make the Tee's ourselves

Can we get these beauties with French/English text, in recognition of all the crazy Canadienes that slide Tuckerman Ravine? I can see me wearing mine at Jay Peak and Burke all the time!

skicdave
05-14-2003, 03:05 PM
Sounds like a good idea skilas. If those iron one's work well then you'd have a better selection to choose from.

Here's yours by the way (Hold It)

RR,

Well if your going to do the iron on, I could change the text to french, or even use your Tucks photo instead.

Ravineroom Kate and I are going to try one of those iron on's and see if they are any good. Anybody else have any experience with iron on's?

Hey Dave:
Make a webpage where you can print your official T4T image, which would take into account your number and what level you're at maybe in the output.

Love that snowboard "Ride It" version. The design for the back is classy too.

Lots of good ideas!

Already working on a web page were you can choose from one of the options.

Might be easiest (especially considering the limited number of active members), for members to choose the style, and alternative text to use, plus your member number and level and email me your request. Its pretty easy in photoshop to switch text, photos excetra to make a new image.

Some may want to include their own photos like I did for Saxman, M@, North Reading Jim and skilaslenas.

Any other ideas also, re text let me know (ie the Ride It, Tube It, Ski It, Eat It, Lunch It etc).

So anybody know how good the ink jet iron on's are?

Skilasnow
05-14-2003, 05:46 PM
The bubble jet iron ons work really well. Nothing like they were back in the seventies when the picture would start to flake off after 6 or 8 washes. And they have the added advantage of being able to put it on any article of clothing you wish

Thanks laslenas. We'll be trying a few out shortly.

I've now setup a design page too be used shortly for ordering your Tee's.

So anybody know how good the ink jet iron on's are? I checked with one of my friends who does iron-ons - she said she had the best luck with ones that say COOL PEEL OFF on the front of the package.

Hmmmmmmmmmmm......Mine seems to be absent. lol. Also, Dave, there are Waaaaaaaayyyyy too many options on color! Next comes the BIG question: How much are they gonna cost??? I want to get ready to order and am gonna have to actually save out a few bucks. (Ahhh, the joy of wife, kids, mortgage on the house on Winnipesaukee, 4 cars and the overall thrill of being back in college full-time at 44. OK, 45 in 19 more days, I admit it!) Being kinda broke right now sucks but when I finally graduate I'll at least have a fighting chance of retiring before I'm like 100 or so! OK, all for this reply. Have fun, be safe. Al :schlitz:

Nice shirts, certainly traversing the headwall has my vote! Saxman is great also, could you superimpose the Saxman on the traversing the ravine pic? That would be great. Nice Job Skidave. Bill

skicdave

Ok BillF, Will add this one to the mix. (Will await Saxmans approval).

SkiStooge. Didn't forget you. I'll be adding a few more to the mix. Now don't go remortgaging either, I'll be providing these as larger images for printing using your ink jet printer. This is a free service provide to T4T members.

I might well pick a popular design (based on a nation wide survey) and have some good quality Tee's made. At this point being so late in the season, I'd most likely do this early Winter next year, in time for Spring 2004.

SkiDave, I got some private message from you regarding using my photo. It said not to reply from my regular, at office email, although I don't know why, and I haven't figured how to do it from here, so ANYWAYS......let the whole world know, of course you can use my photo (s), and I am honored to be included. /sm

p.s. I have more pics I could send for your perusal, if you would like.

skicdave
05-15-2003, 09:29 AM
Not sure either Saxman. Haven't used the private messaging much myself. Anywhos, thanks. Yes if you have any other photos that might work well send them and I'll check them out.

Great idea...I am in for #1, #2, and the snowboarder.

A recommendation if I may...put the prints on the back. Don't do both front and back, it's too cluttered. "Less is more". :snowboarding:

skicdave
05-15-2003, 01:48 PM
Good point HeyBC. Except that on the back is the T4T member stuff. Maybe I'll add the following options:

1) photo front, back T4T member
2) photo front, ski it etc phrase on the back
3) photo front + ski it etc and T4t member on the back

Other options? :tshirt:

Thanks, Dave. Gonna have to see if I can come up with an even MORE handsome pic for the next Avatar. lol. Looking forward to the downloads...all I have to do is find someone with one of that there type of printer! (BUT!!! I'm pretty sure, if I actually go back and read my printer manual, that it is capable of transfers anyways.) Again, keep up the excellent work with the site. We all (especially us regulars) really do appreciate your time and effort. Have fun, be safe. Al :ducttape: Sorry, M@....I love this stuff, too Al

skicdave
05-20-2003, 06:29 AM
Hmmm thats odd, let me look into that.

The T-Shirts are not downloadable yet. What will happen when its ready is, you will choose your design etc then be able to request your T-Shirt image. This will actually just send the details to me and I will do a few things in Photoshop to prepare the high resolution image for you to download from a directory on the site or I can simply email it too you.

I haven't had a chance to run a test T-Shirt print yet, but once everything look good, I'll post a message on the board.

BladeGirl
05-21-2003, 10:16 AM
The designs are great, but I only have an old black & white laser printer. If anyone can print me the transfers of my choice and mail them to me, I'd be happy to cover all costs.

BladeGirl
05-21-2003, 10:19 AM
ps: I noticed that when I went to the T-shirt page it said that I was a "Junior Member". What does that mean and what are the levels of membership?

Hey BladeGirl,

I live in Boston to, and I have a decent color printer that I have used for iron-on printing. It works pretty well, I would be happy to have you come over. My roommate is in a band and she does tons of :tshirt: , she even has one of them there Iron Presses. so you don't have to mess around with a regular iron.

John :skilas:

skicdave
05-21-2003, 10:44 AM
BladeGirl,

Hmm instead of Junior Member it should say HoJo's or Bust which is your level.

That is an option on the T-shirt design screen that you can uncheck if you like so it won't appear on the shirt.

For more about levels check out the Member Status (http://timefortuckerman.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=000501#000001) thread.

Hey :skilas: you changed your Avatar back? How come?
