Hey: That's awsome! I love getting emails about that thing. Kids LOVE IT, but a warning, they will ALWAYS want to draw every time they see you palm if you let them use it once.

Yup, wrote in C. Palm dev has two tracks really:

1: PowerBuilder (and other WYSIWYG tools) - forms based, no brains required development.

2: Open Source tools, (gnu) low level C programming.

I lost the source to kScope a few years back, but it wasn't that much anyway.
