Hey, anybody out there? This year, as I did last year, I had to get my fix in and headed to South America. I just got back a couple of weeks ago. Now, I'm writing this to make you guys jealous! http://timefortuckerman.com/ubb/smile.gif I boarded in Chile and Argentina. Great snow, Friendly people, but a bit cold in Ushuaia (way south). But, if you're broke, the place to go is Argentina. Pesos are 3.5 to a dollar!! Amazingly cheap!!! But, now I'm back in my Tuck's mode. Can't wait. And Tucks is free!

Did you post your trip report at CouloirMag.com? If so it sounded like you had a great trip. And, speaking only for myself I am gealeous.
I too am fixated on Tucks and can't wait to get up there. I'm thinking about doing a night hike in early December to scope out the snow and spend some time Saturday skiing abit if conditions allow.

I have been reading and commenting on CouloirMag.com. I'll check it out again and see if I can post some photos somewhere on that site. My name is Tim on that site (snowboarding & BC areas)
Anyway, If there's snow in Dec. I'll most likely see you there! And there's gonna be some goods! I can feel it.

Sorry,
But, I do travel on a split board sometimes and have boarded in Argentina. But I have not yet been to Las lenas. I'm hoping to get there next year, though. this past year the weather prevented me from getting there. Maybe we met somewhere in Chile. I've been in SA boarding the last two summers. I've got to get all the goods I can before I get too old, marry and end up with kids http://timefortuckerman.com/ubb/smile.gif
How was it (Las lenas)?

las lenas was pretty cool. the main lift was buried most of the time, and i ended up hurting myself pretty badly. it was a sweet trip though.
i just figured the 'notjustanother' in your tagline meant something like you were on a teleboard or something.
well if you see a tall dude skinning up in the mt. washington area on some igneous skis give a holler because it's probably me. hopefully i'll be back in action by december...

Absolutely! I'll keep an eye out for ya. If the mountain recovers from the rain it got last week, I'll try a recon the weekend after thanksgiving. If not, I'll just wait a few weeks.
And look for me...black guy skinning up on a split board
BTW-next year, for part of my trip, I'm planning on hooking up with Powerquest tours. I ran into them at Portillo. They're pretty cool guys, they've got skills and they know where to go.
Hope you recover in time http://timefortuckerman.com/ubb/smile.gif
