Well, it's pretty cold, but we made it safe and sound. Looking forward to some sliding next week if we can get the rover up and running.

Very, very cool. I'm bummed about Olympus Mons, tho. Although you're working with 16 miles of vert., the average grade is only like 6%.

What kind of turns can you make on dry ice, anyway? I'd think the fluff quotient would be pretty low. I expect a full TR....

Do we have any JPLers on board? I'm thinking that a properly prepared nut could take the headwall in this...

The fabric for the airbags was made in New Hampshire actually - wombuack mills or something... so they aren't that far away. That would be quite a movie... hucking the headwall in designed-for-mars airbags. I might just volunteer for that.

Camera sensors are made in Waterloo Ontario even.

That top photo that M@ posted is also in 3d...

Has anyone found a pair of red/blue 3d glasses and checked it out? Woah

I checked it w/ red/blue shades and it was ok - not great, but a couple things had some depth.

I just reviewed the 3d red/blue image on the wife's computer with the nice big LCD display - and it was much better. I got a bunch of red/blue galsses a while back from some science store becuase the APOD's were in 3d from time to time.

Here's the 3d image from the APOD:

Think we saved our 3D glasses when we watched the latest 'Spy Kids' movie (wahho!), would they work the same for those photos?
