Yah mon! Back from Jamaica and dis wedder is Jamaican me crazy!!!

I'm a little behind on Tux news lately so can someone post a summary of where the Sherburne is at? Checking out P-Hugs excellent shots, it looks like the Burn is open about 90% of the way? Comments? Hows the rest of it?

I'm still dealing with 'new ski' issues, and not sure about trashing them so soon. Certainly would rather carry up the new light weight AT geat rather than heavy DH gear when we go in mid April.... man this is not looking good.

PS. I did look for some Jamaican snow and voila!!! I noticed they are off to a start and have cut a new trail up in the mountains south of Montego Bay! Is this what the bottom of the Sherburne is looking like?

I skied all the way down yesterday, sans a 20 foot section near the bottom, with no damage to my skis. My opinion is that the bottom 1/4-1/3 of the trail wont be doable by the end of the week, bottom half by next week if the temps stay like they are, or continue to go up as forecasted.

I kept skis on 100% of the way. But 2 seriously bare sections.
And the 2 bridges at the end are totally bare.
Won't be much longer for this spring. This weekend at best.

I made it all the way over the first bridge yesterday although this meant taking a couple of shots to the base in the bare spots and sliding over the wood on the bridge...we had a contest to see who could make it furthest. I won. My guess is that after today there will be no chance of top to bottom...unless you love to ride mud.

I believe that todays report says that they have oficially closed the bottom section for the season Dave. I wanted to skin up one more time Sunday
