To keep it relevant, what is your favorite commercial beer to drink at Tucks?
Being easier to carry cans up, I usually go for Budweiser. If I could bring bottles though, I would definitely grab some Magic Hat Fat Angel. Love that stuff, and I gotta stay loyal to the Burlington Beer!!!
How about the rest of you beer chugging, mad skiing and boarding freaks?
In order of preference:
Double Bag (LT)
Old Brown Dog (Smuttynose)
Humble Patience (MH)
Fat Weasel (I'll check when I get home)
Black & Tan (Saranac)
Wicked Ale(Pete's)
In a pinch:
Sierra Nevada
Winter Lager, (SA)
That's about it.

Definitely Newcastle #1, Back Bowl beer #2 (apparently only found in back bowls of Vail), and Fat Tire in Colorado - GOOD STUFF!! The only thing is, I have such a low tolerance, so I can't handle more then a couple :beermug: :beermug: !!

Tricksy Answer:
1. Long Trail - Hit the Trail (love this stuff)
2. Magic H@ - Bob's First (humble Patient)
3. Tuckerman - Pale Ale
4. Long trail - Long Trail Ale
5. Magic H@ - Hocus Pocus
6. Bud Cans - It's kind of a nostalgia thing, drinking bud from cans brings me back to high school. Drinking bud cans outside REALLY brings me back to high school.

M@, I see you lean towards the VT beers.. good for you man! I strictly drink Magic Hat these days (when I am not drinking homebrew...)
I grew up in BTV. My sister in law lived a mile up the street from the old MagicHat brewery. I used to fill the grolwers every time we'd visit her. I got a free growler of the first batch of #9. Hated it then, hate it now.
Right now I live excatly 1 mile west of the Merrimack BUD plant, and this morning they were brewing and the wind was from the east, so I got a malty aroma as I left for work.

Some mighty fine brews mentioned.
I traditionally bring Foster's Bitter Oil Cans up to Tucks for the container-weight to quantity-of-beer ratio, and I prefer not to risk glass in the ravine.
Next year I am hoping to go to Tucks with Elwood's latest brew in a log. Speaking of which, I found a golf bag caddy at the dump the other day and am now searching for the ideal pnuematic tires for it.

I would have to bring a big ol' litre can of Labatt 50, "Le Cingaunte" (that's for you frank) to celebrate my first decent down the ravine.
It is a notorious "old man beer" but I got hooked on it when I was in my mid teens cuz my older cousin drank it. I could steel err liberate his beers cuz he never kept track of them. My uncle kept a running tally on his stash to ensure that none of them were consumed by his underage nephew.
I love pretty much anything by unibroue.
Fin Du Monde, Maudite, etc., etc. Oh and when on the East Coast and the 50 is scarce I have been known to partake in the consumption of Oland Export (that's for you Jolly J).
I bring Fosters, Guiness and Boddingtons all in cans...

Bannick,
Don't see a lot of Oland beer around here much. Moosehead is weird that way

If you beer (and scotch) afficienados (sp?) ever head up to Toronto I will take you to a little beer/scotch/oyster bar that I work at sometimes, Smokeless Joe. They have over 200 beers on the menu, 5-6 local beers on tap, fresh oysters from all over and some of the tastiest snacks around. I spend alot of time drinking beer that is 7-10 percent. It makes for a pretty cheap night if you can get loaded off of 3 big beers.

Free beer up at Tucks is possible... you just need to make a friend or two while up there.
