Some of you will be happy about this. I am hoping that it drifts just a bit north and hits Jay.
Weekend Snow Threat
Tuesday, February 21, 2006 3:25 PM EST More News
The storm is not a BIG threat yet, but it warrants some consideration. It will be the type that comes out of western Canada, crosses the Great Lakes and winds up somewhere southeast of New England. The storm will riding the front side of a big wave of cold air. Just like a surfer, that means it will move quickly, and it will be well off the New England coast by Sunday evening. The fast movement of the storm is likely to spare most locations a big snowfall. Rapid intensification at the last minute could result in a heavier snow for eastern New England, but it will be another day or so before we can clarify that. Once the storm passes, there is little question that it will turn much, much colder again.

Hmmmmm, very interesting.
...
What is this snow thing you keep mentioning?
Jim, the MWO observer reports that there's been some snowfall every day this week and that the Clipper passing through this w/e will likely be munificent (my interpretation). I have been watching the cams and have to agree, the Ravine is filling in noticably.
The "Top of Quad" cam view at Wildcat shows a two foot snow drift as of 9:05....
The temps and winds will be atrocious this w/e, but Wednesday should see a moderating of the avi conditions unless there's another event....
make tracks while the snow is fresh!

THE SNOW CORNER OF NEW ENGLAND:
IT IS DUMPING OUTSIDE!!! We have received between 5"-8" of SNOW overnight and have 60% of our terrain open! With the current snowfall we anticipate offering 100% of the mountain for the weekend. The forecast is calling for SNOW all day long and more every single day for the next week. WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR? COME ON OVER AND GET AFTER IT! Today we plan on operating the Single, the Sunnyside Double, the Practice Slope, and Callie's Corner Handle Tow with skiing on at least 27 trails, 12 of which are freshly groomed.

Glad to hear Jay was good! Despite the winds...
By the by, i like your signature Jay, but i think you might be able to shorten it to...
"I run and i like it so shut your mouth!"
Just a suggestion ;)

That's funny - I like it too. My sister has recently turned into a runner and the type who likes to talk about it a lot. She's running a 1/2 marathon in may - and I'm running on a 5 person team in the same race, so she's been sending out runnign quotes every day for the past month. I sent her the above one and she added it to her list.

Yeah I like it, and it is a little long, i noticed that when I first wrote it....
Jay was really windy, they shut the tram and the Freezer around 12:30pm, and the Freezer takes at least 65mph to close, the tram 55mph I believe...
