They're pushing snowmaking at 100% actually at St-Sauveur !!!!!!!!

If they're pushing on both Nordic + West 70 like this, it ******could****** means that it will be open next weekend.

First tracks are REALLY soon

Well, guys, I think that I'm going right now at St-Sauveur... it's just 35 minutes off here, and I bring the skis in the car

WOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

First tracks are first tracks, even if it's not on snow, but on mice.

MMMmmm... mouse tracks.

You are so lucky, Franko! Take pictures if you can. Wish I were there. :envy: Take a fresh run for the Tuckerman crew!

Hey, Franko's pic actually looks relatively good for once! :D

(OK, I may not have posted much, but I've lurked long enough to recognize an opportunity to jab Frank when I see one!)

Seriously, enjoy the :chicken: . Let us know how it is, and if you can carve better turns with :crampons: .

True.. Franko is improving his :camera: taking.. mind you he might not have taken that one (hes in Laval).

Last year we went to Sauveur Dec 6-8. Couldn't believe the Snow!! and what a deal at that time! We even were able to go cross country skiing on the 'corridor' near Morin Heights. Last year definately was unreal for early season in the Laurentians :mapleleaf: .

Hopefully I will have a shot of Kate and I in the :teardrop: BURIED in snow in Algonquin park camping in a few weeks... brrr... :icicles: We'll have to at least bring our 'extreme' cross country skis with us. Gotta get our :bum: :bum: and :tmchandshake1: :tmchandshake: use to the cold!

PS. No :snowflakes: in the nations capital at the moment  :drphil:

Before I go, I think this was one of Franko's shot at Sauveur last year... nes pa Franko?

Thanks to you all and I hope that you will have your first tracks soon !!!!!! (and so, I'll be :envy: you while I'm doing my tests...)

Dave, this is an old pic taken with an old camera that I sold a long time ago to my sister. Also, for last winter in the Laurentians, it wasn't really snowy, lower than the average, but of course better than 2001-02 :)

Effectively, it's not me who took the snowy pic of this morning, it was on a Quebeker ski website. I pass on the comment for pics quality, although you know that when I put them on the web, it's often some zooms where I lose a lot of quality. Unfortunately, the sky is not always blue, when I want to take some pics, neither. :( ;)

I often got lift tickets, giving some nice shots to the ski areas, so you can say what you want, about my pics, but it's me who laugh now ! :p
