One question is "what are first tracks?"

DMC was 4 chairs ahead of us as the lift opened. But, he had to get his snowboard on at the top. So we (skidude and I) think we were the first T4Ters to actually make tracks in NY.

I'm willing to call it a three-way tie. :D

Awesome! Are they actually open for business or is poaching becoming more popular around here? I was thinking of poaching there since they started making snow just over a week ago. Unfortunately my schedule hasn't allowed such a thing to take place. :(

I think I just have a deeper drive for :sandpit: I think that's where my real passion lies.

Glad to see everyone's season is finally getting underway!

Cheers Mates! :beermug:

Mumster & Skidude - Congrats on first tracks! Looks like you had a great day. Nice bump trail, too!!

They were open - but only one trail -> Hellgate. It was a beautiful day, and there were NO liftlines. It was a bit crowded on the slope at midday. But, at $19 for a :liftticket: what sane person could resist?

Skimum and SkiDudeSki can have 1st tracks award.. I have the distiction of being one of the first people back down at the chair so.. I can live with that. 3 "top to bottoms" and my legs were screaming!

I believe this is Skimum and SkiDude trying to avoid me in the line. I had no idea they were standing 5 feet behind me.. Opeeing day tunnel vision. http://www.powderhound.org/2003/Hunter_11-16-03_Opening_Day_4.jpg

And this IS me ... One of my favorite lines!

even better later in the season with more snow when you can ski skiers left of the snowmaking tower and cut back to HG over the cliff band... but I am SURE DMC knows this...

Gotta get the 6 degrees of T4T up and running. I'm pretty sure SkiLas has met more people 1st hand than anyone else.

LOL, DMC, that liftline pic is SO funny. We were looking for you in the line....I don't know how we TOTALLY missed each other since there weren't that many people there.

Skidude and I waited forever to get that pic of you on the headwall....we knew you were behind us. Then you took the left gutter, so we could only get a distance shot.

Glad we finally ran into each other. :D How did you recognize the Skidude? He's about doubled in size since the pix this past spring.

RR: I agree. Love the "team approach" to :1stracks: :lips:

SkiDude was easy to find... He had a big Camelback sticker on his lid.. And he eminates a whole apline skiing vibe :)

Thanks for the Pic... As much as it was a day to go nuts skiing - it was also a day to catch up with all the people I know up there - so I may have been chatting.

Great day... just awesome! Couldnt ask for more!

It seemed like you knew everyone on the mountain. Skidude wondered if you were an owner or major stockholder. (I didn't reveal your Po_ _ _rh _ _ _ d link, because I thought he'd have more fun discovering it for himself).

Was your fiancé :cutegirl: in the cafeteria? I saw someone who looked liked her pic.

Was your fiancé :cutegirl: in the cafeteria? She was there - skied most the morning.
We hang out at the tables by the entrance to the Shushi Bar steps.

I've been going to Hunter for years and years and years.. Plus since I play in a band, I tend know a lot of people. Lots of them go to TUX! In fact half of ski patrol goes there after the season ends.

Besides - I see all... Ohh come on...Its only 7". Anyway I don't know if most people would pick up on the fact that I was from Camelback. But I guess if you were keeping an eye out there were not too many kids that had skis on that were not twin tip

The Camelback sticker on your :helmet: stands out. Look at yourself in the mirror when you are wearing it.
