View Full Version : Can't sleep to ski
Anyone else have a hard time sleeping before a ski day? Freaking drives me crazy. I always think it's gonna ruin the ski day, but it usually doesn't.

The first day of a ski week is like that, but then as the days pile up I sleep better and better, hitting the hay earlier and earlier. Weekends after a long drive up on Friday after working all day....nope, sleep like a child....but the first day of a real ski vacation.....just too pumped...same with climbing trips!

I have the same problem. Even if its just a one day trip, I can't sleep the night before. For a multi day vacation, like RR, the subsequent days are better. And when I get back home, I sleep like a baby and have ski dreams, going down all the slopes I went down on the vacation. :)

Yeah I always have that problem, but then as has been said I get more and more tired as the week goes by.
The place I find it most difficult to sleep is the first night at Joe Dodge. Rolling in there and checking the forecast and packing and getting ready and excited and then you've gotta go to sleep?!?!?!?!?!?! AHHHH!!!! Most of the time it takes a couple hours, but one night I got no sleep at all, this past spring the night of 4/14...Oh what a day it turned out to be... :D
