Hey Orion, what's with the M@ gig?

Did you ever see that theory that the great pyramids were alligned like Orion...?

Orion is my skiing constellation, you can only see it in the winter. It rises at about 3am this time of year, but by mid dec it'll be coming up around 7pm, and visible at night in the mountain towns we find ourselves in when we hit the slopes.

I haven't seen it yet this year, but the first time is always special. That's I guess when my seasons tarts, when I can see orion.

Yes, It is typically directly overhead later in the evening, when one might be walking around a Mountain village. (Sometimes the fresh air is required about then)

One more thing, I do appreciate and respect the romantic ideal of marking time by the stars, an ideal that can be lost in this day and age.

Orion visibility closely parallels the ski season. In the summer, you can't see it at all, becuase it's up during the day, but it's up at night only when the weather sux.
