How is the snowline in the bowl doing? Is the runout into the ravine floor holding out well? Any comments from Saxman, Skimumster, Skimonkey or the like who were there May 10-11 weekend?

Inquiring minds want to know. Besides the Dis-Information Minister (http://timefortuckerman.com/disinformation.html)'s reports are useless

Dave,
I was up in the bowl on Saturday (my first time riding Tucks). Conditions were still good - I had two nice runs, 1 in the left gulley, 1 in the left chute. Snow was soft corn

Thanks jlydon11,

But how is the runout area at the bottom? Is it still well covered?

Alas skialaslenas, I detect that you are the real Dis-info imposter. His last name only has one h as in Mohammed Saeed al-Sahaf :p ... or is this just more disinformation??

Runout area is very good, totally covered except for the little patch on left where it starts. All in all I would say the snow is holding up quite well for this time of year. There is much more in there than either of the photos you just posted of previous years. We haven't had too many of those 70-80 degree super melt days, maybe that's why.

A couple of people asked about the big chunk of ice (about as big as a house) over lunch rocks. As of Sat 5-10, it was still there, and low Bb was unable to budge it. Hopefully the ravine Gods will see fit to dump in middle of the week? /sm

It was basically covered from edge-to-edge. :skifemcool: The large ice chunk in question had not fallen when we left Sunday around 2 PM.

Hey, how did we miss the Saxman? We hung out for hours on the rocks and saw a few ice chunks, a large rock tumble down, multiple skiers and some mini snow slides, but no Sax.
