That is confirmation that I am VERRRRRRRRRY glad that I didn't drive up yesterday (even though I can make it up there in like 45 mins or so). Still, I agree that it DID sound good on paper. lol HAve fun, be safe. Al :skistooge:

I stopped up Saturday on my way home. It was WORSE THAN PATHETIC . I'm glad it was only a couple miles out of the way. I took a pic, which I'll e-mail to skicdave. He can attach it whenever the spirit moves him.....

In the photo, the V's point to the jumps. Note the tubing slide is bound by hay bales, and the snow only reaches about 2/3 of the way down. (The remainder of the hill didn't look too exciting either.)

I still think they deserve credit for trying to promote skiing in summer.....they just aren't quite there yet with the technology...lol.. Maybe this equipment will at least help them extend their season.......

A friend & I stopped by Sat. afternoon, just in case. The only snow left was on 3/4 of the tubing track. I spoke with a couple very nice people who worked there. They said they are working out a glitch in the system. Oh well, we went to the Polar caves instead.

Wow - Pretty Sketchy Stuff!!!!

But - They definitly got some press though - I was at a BBQ yesterday, and a friend of mines wife (non-skier/rider type person) asked me if I had heard of it, I guess it was on the local news down here in CT.....

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Sorry, I couldn't resist laughing. Well, if anything it was a good publicity stunt. Glad I was chilling on Lake Champlain and not at 10e though...

Hey, is that the 30' tabletop? Also, if you guys feel like surfing, check out the summer snow report on the 10E website. Funny stuff.

Nice photo :mumster: !

Somehow I think she didn't ski the patch at Tenney this past weekend instead opted to work on her tan and enjoy a Diet Coke :)

How about a run "down the fall line" :skifemcool: in the tubing section, hoping not to get snagged by a hay bale? ....It'd be a tight turn to stop at the bottom.

That run is way too messy for me! I wonder if someone ends up suing them after they trip over all the garbage thats laying around.

Looks like a heck of a lot of :ducttape: in use too (see DMC's photo).... whats with that?

No doubt :ma: is involved...

Thanks for the photo, :mumster: . Actually, I'm kind of sad it turned out that way. We'er too old to believe in the tooth fairy or Santa, but somehow I really, really wanted to believe in summer snow in New England. *sigh*

No doubt :ma: is involved... How about a trail made of :ducttape: for summer skiing? It would last longer than snow, wouldn't get as sloppy, and we could get m@'s friend (who knows about fluorobases) to incorporate something to give it extra slide.......Also, if it tears, we just :ducttape: it back together again... :)

BTW, BladeGirl - thank DMC - he posted a photo first. ...Anyone see DMC in his photo? - I guess it's hard to recognize him without his hat....

They have snowless skifields around England that use those plastic/teflon??? mats. They even have jumps set up. I hear the hardpack rash is pretty nasty. I almost did it when I was there a couple of years back but decided to go to Italy and Slovenia instead.

Here is a link to a video form 10e on paper. I think they did well considering they actually made snow in +80-90 degree temps.
