We got a blast, today, at MSS for the beginning of the season. Honestly, Woodbury and Belleayre may have beaten MSS by few minutes, cause they delayed the opening to 9h57, to finish to groom the "Nordique". We were about 50 skiers to hike the Lower 70 to have some fresh turns during this moment... hmmmm nice (but it was less nice after when the Nordique opened... ish... but this was skiing at least !)

Anyway, we took the 3rd chair of the season, so that was incredibly great !

Here is the report :

Way to go. The snow in the trees looks like it might have come from heaven and not a pipe!

There was a tiny bit of natural snow, but they just lost a lot of snow in the woods around the top of the Nordique... I should have tried to ski it ;)

Thanks Kmrnskier, effectively, the conditions were pretty bad, but who cares, it's normal on november 9 !

For other pics (without size limit), you can see this address... but don't try to understand what is written :D

Franko - I checked out the ski movie that your friend did after scrolling down a bit. Am I right by saying that is you skiing the grass (with a tiny bit of snow)?? I think the narrator ?Mark? mentioned you needing professional help?? What a riot!

I wanted to check out that movie but now I'm on my sister's dial up and I don't think I'll stay on for 3 hours. Great pics though Franko.

On peut vue un petit peut de vert sur la cote de la piste, mais il-y-a beaucoup de neige.

It was a beautiful morning to ski... by noon the 70 west (lower part) was open and the conditions was stunning until 1h pm in this part. The 'Nordique' was sh*ttY as usual.

Anyway it was fun :) ... We did not ski too performant, few runs with a lot of slidding to get in and some educative to get us on the tracks and get back the feelings from last year.

Kmrnskier : hahaha, yeah, it was me. Funny, but tough to pick the poles, so it's why they were flying in all directions.

Yeah, Kross0ver, the Nordique was really.... ish..... but the lower 70 was nice. Too bad they only opened the upper 70 at 3h30, cause the groomers had a huge lunch break. Definitively, the groomers at MSS are not some skiers.

Hope that you will have the chance to see it, Las Leņas, it's really funny, with the grass part :D and it really shows how it was, with the ice on Nordique and quite better snow on the 70.

Nice Pictures!!!

Actually the best part was trying to dicifer the French on the message board... I actually found to my surprise that I understood it quite well!!! Although I didn't know every word, I got the main idea... I'm impressed with myself!!! ;)

The translation tool at Altavista translated 'quite goodly'...

It was one day splendid. The sun, snow and environment were with go. The state of the tracks was what I had seen of better for a first day of ski. Although the Scandinavian one was frozen a little too much with my taste, the 70 West had superb conditions. I did not wait only one minute to go up on the triple chair-lift. 2 tracks only were open: The Scandinavian one and 70 West. (the 70 West was open from top to bottom only starting from 15h30). The station already started to make snow in Red Bird which should open in the next days. Soon the ski of evening? Congratulations has the team of St-Saver for these conditions. Here the day in images: The bottom of the Scandinavian one Top of the Scandinavian one Medium of the 70 West (before the passage of the rammers) Medium of the 70 West The pitch of the 70 West (very beautiful conditions) The bottom of the mountain (in front of the principal country cottage) Rammers with the work to open the 70 West (15h30) The pitch of the Scandinavian one The bottom of the Scandinavian one Top of the Scandinavian one Medium of the Scandinavian one _________________ Webmaster - ZoneSki.com Last edition by Christophe Lun Nov. 10, 2003 2:28 amndt; published 1 time To return in top Frankontour Regulator Registered voter it: Oct. 31 2003 Messages: 73 Localisation: Laval Posted it: Dim Nov. 09, 2003 11:21 pm Sujet of the message: St-saver me-also! Well say-therefore, it would be said that one has the same places of catches of sights, Christophe!! (very very beautiful photographs while passing!) There is a photograph which I took who could be complementary, but I do not see the option which makes it possible to put photographs coming from our computer in the discussion... In any case, here in very small, the image about which I spoke! Super day, the conditions were not badly frozen, in the Scandinavian one, but they were not badly interesting in the 70 west and it is a pity which one left before they do not open it finally... It's a pity that one was missed... one will have the occasion to be begun again, I am of course! _________________ Let' S go the winter!! LOL !

The "Scandinavian" is the trail "Nordique" which would be Nordic, in english... just too funny with this one ! (I was really searching what the heck could be the "Scandinavian"

Brush skiing... yeah, funny, but don't show this too much to the children :D !!!

Good if you understood the basic of the conversation, NH_Tele !
