Yeah, not sure who's giving them that distinction. I think the editors cut out the rest of his quote. It should read, "the best glades east of the rockies, north of Milwaukee, South of Lake Superior, and West of Lake Michigan."
But, all of there terrain is at black or double black, so it must be pretty gnarly ;) They've got some sweet pics of the same two dudes getting bogged down in the flats and losing it on some ice bulge.
I'll give them props though for raffling off a date with a cheerleader on their homepage. Pure marketing genius... their PR guy must have been reading the "Crampons" thread.

:jaypeak: most defiantly.
:)
Jay does not have the best glades. They sometimes have the snowiest, and definitely have the best well known, but their woods are mostly overcut. I prefer MRG and Stowe's glades (by far).

Ive never been there, but have read ALOT about how people think its amazing.
I guess its unique location between the lakes give it TONS of snow, and its strange geological shape offer killer <><> terrain.
Its touted as an expert only mtn just like silverton. Ive had my eyes on both, and am happy to see them get press coverage.
I cant speak from expierence, cause Ive never been to both, although ive read quite a bit about both from many sources.
Found this pic of Silverton, I thought it was quite impressive
