;) Yes the boxing day graemlin was actually created for the Member Calendar (http://timefortuckerman.com/cgi-bin/calendar.cgi?month=12&year=2003) . Figured it might come in handy here for 'fights' and such  . Use it at your own peril.

;) Definition:: The first week day after Christmas, a legal holiday on which
:xmastree: Christmas boxes are given to postmen, errand boys, employees,
etc. The night of this day is boxing night..
Seems to me this must mean Boxing Day is the day you return any gift you don't like. Glad to learn there is a 'Boxing Night'!
So what happens is Christmas Day is on Friday? Does that mean :boxing: Day is supposed to be Monday?

promoting excessive drinking.[/QB]What is this excessive drinking that you speak of? I've never heard those to words put together like that....especially in the same sentence. Take it back.

;) Dave is mostly right about
:boxing: day. Originally, in old England, it was the day that the Lords gave out 'boxes' to all their servants, as a christmas treat. They would be filled with new clothes, fresh cuts of fine meat (a leg of lamb, instead of a shoulder), and trinkets of varying types. It was the one day a year that most of the servants got the day off, but they all had to show up in the morning and line up to be given their 'box' by the master of the house. Only the butler (or butler's assistant on alternating years) and the cook (or cooks assistant) had to work, though very often a few footmen and ladies in waiting would 'volunteer' to stick around as well.
In England as recent as a few decades ago, boxing day was as important to the working class as christmas day.

As for the rest of the pix: Most of the rest of mine are movies, and I haven't had time to put them together and get them posted somewheres.
I believe KMrn snaped a few. Dunno how those came out. The one I did post was the best from my batch.

Now we don't have to type as much.
We can just head up to :tucks: bringing :tent: :ducttape: :goggles: :crampons: :skis: and everything else... and hope for some :snowflakes: or :sun: but no :debris:
I can't wait for the snow to come, after all :tenney: doesn't have much more than a small park open; it's not good enough in my opinion.
