Best time to ski

When is the best time to ski. I skied 5 years a go in late may. How is the cover?

Weekend before last (Mar 29/30) the cover in the ravine was great, with a few crevasses just starting to show, snow and cold temps since. Little headwall is probably gone now. Sherborne was getting thin down low and had an avaidable major bare spot about half way down. Avoid left in trees, very good cover in the trees at that time.

was just up there on saturday, 5 or so inches of fresh made everything considerable avalanche danger. The ranger suggested we hike a little of hillmans-ride hike a little higher. we got just below where hillmans meets lower snow fields and I couldn't kick any more steps in my snowboard boots and I diidn't want to risk it so I rode from there. sweeet! Sherburn coverage was alright a few rocks and stuff but a good run. cant wait to get back up!

We used to go mid to late May - now we go mid to late April.. Conditions tend to be better - more skiable lines and less crowds..
