That ain't easy.... other than ferry svc from Plattsburg across to Girlington, the easiest way is taking Rte 4 through Glens Falls then Rutvegas and beyond.
Hope you can make it! The more the merrier! http://www.timefortuckerman.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

I can take the Ferry right from Port Kent (Rt. 9 in NY a few miles from my house) into Burlington then 89 into Montpelier to Rt. 2 al the way into NH then the usual to Piknham....Minus the Ferry, im thinkin 3hrs which beats the hell out of the 8 from PA!!!!!
My mom is cool with me taking the car, so im at %75 now. Might try and con my dad into commin too......
8's.....PM me you cell # if you have one so i can keep ya posted, as ill have no access to a PC come Friday night......

Good idea, oh Lord!

Or.....
You could meet me in Montpelier and ill drive over from there.....
Rutland is WAYYYYYYYY south for me....like a good 1.5-2hrs out of the way. Even if i skirtsouth around through Chimney Point, Rutland is still a ways off....
HOWEVER, you should meet me and we'll go! Serious.

From my house in Jay, NY...it takes at least a 1/2hr to get to 87 and i would have to skirt around onto 9(2 lane backroad) to get to Chimney Point from there which would easily take an Hour just for that....then another 30-45min to get to Rutland....and YOU know it!
Come on.....meet me somewhere! Ill drive from there....compromise!

Hey..... Depending upon the weather, I may be hiking up and camping for Sunday through Tuesday with snowplay all day on Monday. If it's not great weather, I might be doing a day trip only on that Monday.
Either way, I AM going! http://www.timefortuckerman.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif The odds are in favor of overnighting.... not at HoJo's but somewhere nearby on the mountain.

OK peeps....... anyone and everyone interested.... There will be sliding in the Ravine tomorrow! http://www.timefortuckerman.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif I'm heading up this afternoon to camp at Dolly Copp and then spending a long enjoyable day on the snow in Tuckerman Ravine. I am delivering some fine yeasts and brewing malts to Greg (the caretaker at HoJo's until Jan.) I look forward to sampling his next few batches..... Ask him next time you're up there!
Affix is meeting me at the campground sometime this evening and I have yet to hear from the birfday boy...Harkin Banks.
I have a new http://www.timefortuckerman.com/forums/images/smilies/camera.gif so I will be able to get some pics for y'all! http://www.timefortuckerman.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif I will post them as soon as time allows.
Here's an early http://timefortuckerman.com/photopost/data/774/1659s302.gif to Harkin.

yeah, unfortunately I guess I missed the bus on this one. Like skilas, my poor car is nearly dead, I have about enough clutch left to get it to the shop, but that won't be until wed. The car I have can't be taken up to the mountain as explicitly stated by the parental units, or id be in deep poop. SO, unless someone is around within a two hour drive of Storrs, CT (UConn) and is also heading up and wouldn't mind some company, it looks like I won't be up until next weekend, hopefully the sluice glacier will still be going strong. Have fun guys!!! Better bring back soem nice photos for us!
