I just came back from the north country and it still lools like there is many hundred of verticle feet of skiing possibilities in left gully and on the headwall.

I wasn't traveling with a digital and my wife was too slow to pull out the camera so sorry for not having taking a picture. Unfortunatly, I was only driving by this time.

I have to say the Presidential range was looking stellar. Viewed it for three day of cloudless skys. The drive across Route 2 into Gorham was amazing. It's been like 28 since I was last on that road, so I didn't remember it. It was so need to get a view of all the presidential summits at once.

The next time it will be from the summit!

This is good news!

I'm in Crawford all w/e with the whole extended family. Planning on hiking anyway - wonder if anyone would think a quick trip to the Ravine to watch me ski would be more fun than a leisurely hike up Mt. Willard or Arethusa Falls. Hmm... must consider my approach carefully.

I was up on sunday, fathers day the 19th, hiked up early and had a few short runs in before heading down @10:30. lots of fog and low visability, got some really strange looks from the shorts and tee shirt crowd who were on their way up as i was headed down. Not a bad day since it did end up getting pretty sunny for the trip back down, looks like there will be quite a bit of skiable snow for a while. Hopefully get in one more trip this year.
