Another hike for the books! The full family hiked together for the first time with experience ranging from an annual hiker for the last 50+ years to 2nd timers coming from as far away as NC and VA. Although the boys were the only ones to board/ski the bowl, the girls were the only girls that made it to the bowl today.
After tracking the weather (the best we could) all week our lesson learned is: go with your gut. A 6am departure from Stowe can be bumped back to 8am. It was a dreary misty 2 hour drive and at times during the hike it was questionable if we would even get one run in. Upon entering the bowl we couldn't see 5' ahead BUT the sun did come out and the headwall revealed itself.
-1:45 to HOJO :30 to the bowl- took 3 runs up the center. Avoided left gully, it was a tricky climb and fear of getting socked in.
-Watched ice crashing on the right and while eating on the left rocks had a nice backdrop of the waterfalls once it cleared.

(can anyone pick us up a shirt from hojo's- we forgot)
